Guild Wars 2

PvP combat in GW2 is great. I greatly enjoy the hot join PvP and hopefully if people become more coordinated world v world will flourish as well. However I want to talk about the biggest problem with GW2, at least for me, which is rewards.

Cosmetics are a great way to reward people without unbalancing the game as far as gear is concerned. However I cant help but feel my efforts are fruitless. After spending weeks getting to rank 20, I discover that the skins are all unattractive and or silly looking. And now what? I grind to rank 30 to get the same result? Many skins in pvp are not creative at all and in some cases are just copy pastes of skins that I got at lvl 15 in world travels.

My Suggestion – Instead of having teirs of armor and weapons as rewards why not just have unique armor or weapon enhancements? Not more powerful than the others, but just different……Or unique skins or visual graphics, something that can be seen and shown off….

And while Im on the subject of showing off..why is there no inspect feature?

And why cant i turn off floating combat damage!

TLDR- Rewards are boring and unsatisfying for the work that must be put in to acquire them.

Paid tournament/free tournament tokens. You get the best skins in the game within a few hours, no leveling required.

However, the less effort something takes to get equates to the less value you hold to it.

you play pvp because of rewards and not because it’s fun?

The game is fun yes but it could be better with cooler rewards. There are plenty of ways to improve their system without interfering with balance.

If sigils would give auras to weapons it would be really nice for cosmetics

Exactly, glowy weapons, eyes, or armor pieces, maybe have like flame footprints….cosmetics goes far beyond different skins
