Let me first say.. I am pretty excited about the new reward track being added in September. I have been posting about giving PvP and the other game modes exclusive gear sets for a while, I’m stoked that Anet is finally doing it.

I am wondering, though, is it best that it’s done as a reward track? One of my personal gripes in PvP is that if it were to be a players favorite content to play, it ceases to be rewarding to the player after your reward track caps.

The thought occurred to me – why not have glory as a currency again in PvP and purchase the pieces of PvP exclusive armor that way. Then once you cap your reward track, you can still play knowing your progressing towards your PvP set.

As a side note, I hope Anet releases new PvP exclusive gear in seasons or something as well as add something similar for the other content (dungeons and WvW). Also I hope that if they do… they create different skins and not recycle the PvP stuff like they did the dungeon gear for PvP.

Anyways, would this be preferable to you? do you think this would be a bad idea? Let me know.

I was fine with glory, but now that it’s gone, I don’t want to see it come back.

The reward system right now is actually pretty solid. The only downside is that the reward track doesn’t get a ton of updates and there’s only 1 PvP-centric skin, but that’s not a big deal.

Well…if I could get reimbursed for the 150+ glory boosters I lost to the glory sunsetting, I’d consider this, rofl!

I liked that you were constantly earning points that you could spend when you played PvP – THAT I liked about the glory system. Some people are gonna disagree with me on this, but I hated that you had to spend your points on RNG boxes rather than pick an item you wanted and buy it with the points you saved up. That’s what I’d like to see.

Not to say “do away with the current reward track system” but rather add the glory vendor system in addition to it. Make the gear cost a lot of glory, doesn’t need to be easy. The point of the armor in my opinion is to reward the players that REALLY PvP. Let them have something to show for it.

I could definitely get behind this.

yeah that sucked… Would have been awesome if we were given BL keys or something in exchange for our glory boosters at a reasonable exchange rate… we can be dreamers right?
