And I now have to buy sets of weapons for my character to use in pvp instead of being able to go to my locker and just get them out?
Why did you remove jewels from amulets? It gives less customation and I highly doubt anyone was confused about them.

Will the skins equipped to characters in pvp also be added to the wardrobe or should we make sure things are deposited into the pvp locker?
sorry if I misread something and it says the answer already.
I think the post suggests that our existing ranks will change to become something higher. Since they said:
“for a very small percentage of players, we’d like to congratulate you on becoming Tyria’s first group of dragons!”
it means my current r51 is slated to become higher. Yoohoo! Shark finisher, here I come
Though I kind of liked the endless PvP progression. Now if a person reaches dragon rank, they might as well stop playing PvP

Is SPvP going from a ’’Don’t worry about stuff, it’s automatically unlocked’’ to a more ‘’Think carefully and worry about what you want to buy, because you will no longer be able to change your look freely’’.
Because I’m not sure if I like that at all.
I may have missed it in the post, but will we still have separate looks in PvP from PvE even though we share a wardrobe?
Example: I wear full medium Ascalonian armor in PvE, but like to wear Aetherblade armor in PvP. Can I still do that without having to transmute every time I go into heart of the mists?

If sPvPers want to be focused on, then they have to be willing to become a serious source of revenue beyond custom arenas. Arenanet is not a charity.
Will rank point-specific titles be fixed? Will tournament wins now count for Ransacker (etc) titles?
Will the titles be matched with the real amount of rank points gained (including the rank points from win chests)?
Or does my ransacker title still say 210k rank points gained when the real amount (according to the login screen) is closer to 600k?
Will older players get any compensation in terms of rank? Those who played thousands of tournament games to gain rank points less than 10% of the current value.
TL;DR → will tournament players get any compensation for not Skyhammer farming?

I think the original line by Colin Brohanson where he said, “we don’t want you to just be like, ‘oh, I swung a sword…oh, I swung it again’”, is true.
Now it’ll just be, “You swung a sword…now, if you want to swing the sword again, pay 10 gems”.
I kid, I kid. Overall, I like the changes, but depending on the cost of these transmutation stones, it could be a deal breaker.

I don’t know it is a good idea to futher reduce equipment customization for the sake of simplicity.
There are a lot of builds unviable because of not being able to tune stats properly, now that I can’t even change jewels on amulet, it gets worse.

The caps are there so that way people new in the game cannot compete in the achievement leader boards because of the past players.
The way monthlies work is you can get rewards for both, but laurels will only be given to the first monthly you complete.
And that is correct, you cannot get a legendary by playing just PvP. I don’t mean to be pessimistic here but from my experience with other games in PvP patches like this, it’s probably going to be so grindy that its actually worse than simply doing PvE and grinding it; simply because they don’t want PvE players feeling like they are forced to do PvP to obtain a legendary faster.

According to the blog, you can obtain charges by completing PvP Feats, the question is how viable that would be, we’re not entirely sure.

What would the current rank 40 change to? Rank 50? Rank 60?
Your total rank points are being rebalanced, we know this because they’ve already confirmed in the blog that coming April 15th there is a certain percentage of people who have hit dragon. We don’t know how much they are reducing it though.

Few questions. Are competitive players (those who got most of their rank points from Tpvp) ever gonna be rewarded retroactively?
Are we gonna get specific gear (not only backpacks) and weapons (legendaries?) tied to Pvp? I like the unification but I’d still like to be able to show, through my looks, that I’m a pvp-player.
And why the choice of gold and skillpoints? Is it to allow pve-players to transition into pvp more easily? I don’t mind the gold and skillpoint requirement if the cost is low or the rewards are higher.
Anyway, it’s a change. I’m already thrilled by just that.

Another thing, till you guys completly delete pvp crafting materials, can you at least give us a chance to buy “blueprints” for some amount of copper or silver? I’m still sitting on 1k of arcane powder, some of us would possibly love to make some dyes, but we need consumable token. Let it be even a cost of 5 silver, but make it possible, please.
My guess is that the amulets and jewels will have every possible combination.
And since when do pvp’ers care about looks? Stats are still free btw, and you never really had to pay with real life money for anything in pvp, so this is not a big deal, transmutation charges won’t cost you an arm and a leg to get. Plus I’m sure they will drop in the new track rewards system.
I’ll have Evan Lesh (PvP Programmer) and Hugh Norfolk (PvP Designer) on Ready Up today, so we’ll try to get some of these questions/concerns answered Q&A style.

What I’m wondering is how we’re going to get some of those higher tiers of the achievement rewards. I get that new points will be added for Living Story stuff, and there are a lot of PvP/WvW (heh) points to work toward, but the dailies have represented… what, maybe 15-20 possible points per day? That’s going to slow things down quite a bit, considering that most other achievements have no more than 15-20 for the entire track.

When you enter the Heart of The Mists for the first time after the April 2014 Feature Pack goes live, all of the skins you have collected in PvP will unlock in your Wardrobe. There will be a vendor selling basic, level-appropriate weapons and armor for you to apply unlocked skins to.
What is the point of these “basic” armor/weapons if looks carry over from pve and vice versa? You have to apply the pvp skins to them first to unlock them?

I think the wardrope system works by applying “skins” to armor. So you have to buy basic armor to in other to apply those skins (pvp skins you have) onto it. This will allow for separation for PvP and PvE.

seems more like you have to buy it from the mist because they wont be applicable in PvE.

Doesn’t mean every single thing has to be monetized. There’s also cash shop armors and weapons that can be bought with gems.
Besides, they could have implemented the wardrobe in a different way. For example, using transmutation charges to unlock skins in the wardrobe to use them freely. They could up the cost for this as well. And this is just an example.
Also, horrible reasoning you’re using there. As if customers that paid for the game and mainly PvP even though they spend money in the gem store, have to somehow pay extra to get updates.

Best changes in this blog: Cap for daily AP and monthly AP. I am at almost 9k daily, so its a step forward to less daily grind for me.

The wardrobe is only for appearances, it does not contain usable items. If you’ve never played PvE, or for some reason don’t have actual items to apply skins to, you can get them from the vendor.

How do we do this now that glory has been removed and the final components can’t be purchased anymore? Is there some temporary way to obtain item tokens so I can finish crafting my leftover materials?
