Hello, not sure whether its the right forum, but w/e.

I’ve been collecting a lot of pvp reward chests to play around with the mystic forge and sweet looking gear. However, I feel like I either have an insanely bad luck or then the salvage system is bugged.

I’m rank 13 i believe at the moment, i’ve had like 3 ranks + a few tourny chests without getting any arcane crystals from salvages… Mostly bought gold deer chests, but ive tried everything – also bought a few rabbit chests, but no luck yet..

Anyone else noticed the same or am I just unlucky?

It takes a while to get anything good from salvaging, its really hit or miss over and over. The chances of you getting crap like dust/deer tokens etc from salvaging are much higher than that of acquiring crystals/slivers from salvages.

Yeah, i’ve noticed that. But I remember getting fairly a good amount of arcane crystals on my way to rank 10. I actually thought they were the common ones and orbs were uncommon lol. Atm sitting at like 100 orbs and bit over 100 powders :/.

Yeah that’s nothing.. I got like over 1k of each (dust/orbs), they really need to make a conversion system for the orbs and whatnot, as they are just completely worthless especially when you have a insanely high amount of them and nothing to do with them. But your ranks really aren’t that difficult at all, you can just get either the 500’s or 1k chests and hope you get some decent items or salvages from those. Currently where I am with glory rank I have no reason to even spend glory for chests at all anymore, nothing I want can be made at my current rank/any tokens available to me.

i cant find tokens but i got more of the other stuff than i can do anything with ironically i also noticed rabbit stuff yielding a lot of crystals too granted im lvl 12 but still….

I got my first sliver at r18 and my first crystal at r21
I have to say I was salvaging only gear that I got twice or more but still …

also i remember reading somewhere, that the items themselves are similar on all bought chests, but the materials you can salvage from gold vs the other ones are better

The problem is that Gold chests often have a lot of the consumables. Such as dyes which are pretty much useless in pvp, rank finishers, glory boosters which are nice admittedly, and the very crappy bags. Opening a chest for twice the cost of another only to get 2 rank finishers and a bag is poop. All you need for a glory booster is just an arcane crystal really, other mats are plentiful anyway.

You can find plenty of mats by just buying the silver ones. The gold ones are just too filled with useless stuff to be worth it for just mats alone, imo. Only when i run out of the awesome wolf finishers will i buy more of them.
