I was wondering whether weapon stats have any effect in PvP (as isn’t it supposed to be balanced)?

The reason I thought about this, is because I noticed that I did a lot more damage in PvP than in PvE/WvW.

“Characters in PvP use the same armor and weapons from PvE and WvW.
All items give zero attribute, rune, sigil, or infusion bonuses in PvP.
Chest, leg, and boot armor still contribute to the total defense value.
All items function as level 80 exotic-quality items.”

So, you don’t need any runes/bonuses attached to your weapons for PvP as they won’t give any buffs (except the runes and sigil you select in the build).
