How can this be possible? In PvP every class should be viable. In Gw2 it is not. The so called balances that we hardly ever get just take an entire class out of the game for months (mesmers). How can Anet even take pride in Gw2 PvP. Please don’t put it on your next resume.

Mesmers aren’t as good as warriors and necros, but neither are any of the other professions. I see twice as many mesmers as eles, and about the same number as thieves, guardians, and even rangers. Engineers are a bit more popular right now even though no one is really finding them OP (I happen to think it’s just because they’re the most fun profession to play), and of course war/necro is the most played.

I also am trying to remind people in every thread like this that players lobbied Anet for the exact buffs that created the OP specs we have now. Maybe we should push a little less hard for massive buffs to our favorite professions and focus on other issues?

Players lobbied Anet for Necro sustain … Anet replied with .. you want burning? Ok. Though, even as an elementalist I don’t find condition necros a problem.

Hmm, I remember a ton of threads about how hard it was to play a condi spec without access to burning. I think there was stuff about sustain too, but mostly it felt like the HGH engineer just had better condition output than the necro (which it did). I believe warriors were the ones asking for sustain.

I’m not blaming anyone. Necros and warriors needed buffs. I’m just saying that we don’t need to insist that sub-par specs be instantly brought to top-tier viability, because that’s a good way to get imbalance.

Who ever is noob enough to call mesmer not viable at all should go to mesmer section and get flamed by his own kind.

So bringing sub-par specs up to par with other specs creates imbalance? What an interesting argument.

Why do you say mesmers are not viable OP? They look plenty effective to me from my position on the ground dead, lol.

What he means is before buffing (for e.g) mesmers, they should probably nerf things like condi spam. Same with eles, they would be so OP if they nerf condi spam and did not change the way their instant burst works.
