PvP i so Much "fun" :D
I hope more “vets” can help out new PvP players so that more people can enjoy PvP and bring more people into the PvP scene. If your good but only 5 people play then does it really matter how good you are? Just my POV.
I have to agree that it seems to be getting worse. The problem is that we have stupid builds that promote the worst playstyles and you get half the forum going “well it’s not good anyway so it doesn’t matter”. I’m sorry to tell these guys that they are just being pig ignorant and that these AI builds have a serious impact on all but high level and/or organised play.
If you aren’t on an organised team, super-heavy AI builds and their ilk are a SERIOUS problem in both game modes. The thing is, more and more peopel are realising this and rerolling AI builds/classes. Guild Wars 2 is rapidly becoming Pet Wars 2, and the latest patches would suggest that ANet is happy with this as they enjoy providing crutches to bad players. What’s worse is when a GOOD player uses these builds. Have you ever tried to 1v1 a really GOOD turret engi user on a side node? If you take anything other than a direct hard counter, you will NOT be winning that fight and instead wasting your time.
I think the worst counter argument I see is “well just rotate to another point”.
This is a game about points kitten . If someone can freely cap and sit on a point by themselves for most of the game without fear of losing it then that team is almost certainly going to win, I would say at least 80% of the time, if not more. Turret engies are not tied down to a point anywhere near as much as people make out as well.
I know I am attacking turrets a lot, but they are just an example. Turrets are by far the most effective AI build going at the moment. If turrets were easier to read then fair enough but it doesn’t work as is.

Guys we’ve been whining about these things for 2 years now. Nothing’s changed. In fact it’s gotten worse.
So there’s the general direction… nothing will change, move on.
what’s gonna happen is further and massive focus on AI so even the kittens that were challenged by feeding the cows in queensdale (instead now the cows live on dancing) can get instant gratification in pvp.

More people are playing Reflect Turret Engis just because one of those is possibly best protection against full GC Rangers while staying on point.

Spam (AI, passive, condition, boon, etc) is everything.
Is there any other pvp game in the market where conditions counter condition cleansing?
at the moment even with a full anti condition build you cannot stand against a condition spamming build.
My suggestion:
- remove dot conditions from every autoattack or at least give it an internal cd
- remove torment from the game (we already had burning and bleeding, no reason for adding another strong dot in the game)
- reduce condition stacks to 10 in pvp or totally remove stacks, make conditions stronger but reduce their application over time, so there would be a reason to bring a condition cleanse
- Conditions should help the physical dmg or make it easier to deal it, should not be used as the main source of dmg. (in this way we won’t see anymore full conditions spamming teams)
but they’re a lot stronger
than they will be next year!

this is just an excuse!
There is no reason to not try to improve their game, and it’s not that hard if only they actually would do something about it. Instead we are left with contentless balance patches every 6 months that are ruining the game even more.
Anet is not giving us anything, they don’t do nothing for pvp, I realy wonder what they are doing when they work?? on spvp, and after 6 month they come out with something they call pvp patch that destroy even more an already destroyed game.

Unfortunatelly I have the opinion that this game’s worst problem is the ammount of boons and conditions in the game and how they are spread amongst all classes.
Don’t take it wrong, I think the combat of this game is the best there is in MMORPGs, but the bad side of it are conditions and boons because there’s no control over who does what and the ammount of shared information is so big that is the main reason why it’s so hard to master this game, why it’s so hard to understand it as a spectator of the game who never played it, and why there was so much lag in the game in the past (and I think they still haven’t fixed… in fact, they made it worse with adding even more conditions).
But I guess that’s just a dream. They will never do it because that’s changing the game itself.

That is the problem here: if you aren’t a good player, you will lose. Its a 5v5 game. Why would you try to take on a turret engi? Have you heard of kiting? Stop complaining about the game mechanics and try changing your strategy. Rangers get torn up by theives so as a result rangers just complain about theives instead of trying a different strategy like Sic Em with a stealth jag. That woll rip and thief and they won’t try and 1v1 you again.

Quit whining about the game and change your strategy. Every class can beat any class, its ultimately down to skill and strategy and if you can’t keep up, stick to pve.

1st of all look what i wrote , the level of pvp is going down becouse of builds carried by AI , i never said builds are overpowerd but they are simply toxic to the game.
