Dishonor is fairly easy to wait out. I think a better system would be a ranked lock out until 2 matches of unranked are complete. The player with dishonor should get no reward track progress for these matches.

During off-season time the elimination of the rewards should be enough.

I’d think locked out of ranked is sufficient enough. Reward track bonuses are fairly trivial and more just a passive gain. Certainly doesn’t make sense to impose when you consider people getting randomly DC’d or what have you getting dishonor. Could lead to a lot of false-positive punishments.

I’m a big fan of the dishonor system punishing people more. Not only if people leave, but also when people get reported for being afk or manipulating the match outcome.

People keep doing this (more than in any other game from what i’ve noticed) just because the dishonor system isn’t nearly as punishing as it should be.

That and I feel like reports don’t really mean much. I feel like most reports on these matters are just brushed off by Anet. I might be wrong though, would be nice to get some feedback if someone you reported actually got punished for their behavior.

It would be great if they could just punish AFK/Leavers in the first place. Dishonor system is just a an automatic system, but all those reports onto the same player across 6 games who afk in base should have some merit, but it doesn’t.

Sure there are people who dc deliberately, but I think more often than we realise it’s something beyond that person’s control. Dishonor as it stands I think is OK. But has been mentioned, its the afk’er that really ruin matches.

Currently I don’t see anything in place to penalise afk. Dunno about you guys, but this season I’ve seen more afk in a couple of weeks than I had in the past few months. It is an issue which needs to be urgently addressed.

PVP jail? without a day in court? Might as well add an in game judge with a and RNG Rock Paper Scissors challenge that allows players to fight their case via 3 hand gestures….and if you receive dishonor… you are a dead pile of trash while in the lobby instead of free walking.

This would be a great idea, if id didn’t punish you for getting DC’ed from the game. The tone this is rife is when the game has just been patched. If I get kicked from the game it’s normally because the login servers decide they have had enough of me and tell me and the game tells me that I have lost contact with them. Then you have the once in a blue moon random game crash to desktop. It really annoys me when it happens and I end up in time out from events out of my control. Granted it’s not often, but often enough to make me log off when it happens if I’m in a PvP mood.
