PvP progression
I don’t know how you would make a better tournament system though. It would be nice if there was some way to account for your play in a match. Like even if you lose, but you play well, you can gain or at least not lose a pip. But even that can be hard to determine. I’ve been matches where I can beat any member of the opposing team, but often times I’m outnumbered in every fight because my team is off running around doing who knows what.
Many people have asked these questions since season 1, a lot of these games are totally out of our control.
It could have been done through any number of achievements not tied to the ranked league.
I win I get one pip, win 3 matches I one more pip for the victory as win streak. If I lose I lose pips and if I’m on a losing streak I get 2 pips on my next win.
….. It’s annoying when the whole system is a giant grind to get pips and you can lose them as fast (often faster) than you win them due to poor matchmaking
Assuming you aim for ~50% win rate, that’s not how math work. You are given bonus pips for win streaks, so over a large sample size of games, even if you have the same amount of wins as losses, you’ll have a net gain of pips. You won’t lose them faster unless you tilt and lose games you should have won.
