Guild Wars 2

I don’t know how everyone else feels about guild wars 2 PvP system and the fact that on creation of a character you can jump straight into level 80 pvp matches. I for one thought it was a cool feature at first but now, i get so bored playing the story mode because i know at the end of it i won’t have the reward of playing my level 80 character that i have worked so hard to get to this point and test my metal against someone else.

Does anyone else think there should be a choice of PvP realm for people who want instant 80, Instant Leet Gear, and a realm for those who wish to challenge each other with the characters that they have built. It’s only through the use of our own personally built characters can you ever have a true ladder rank system that reflects each players ability, tactics, and personalised character builds (not cosmetic).

the closest you will get is wvw, and i’m not touching that with a 10’ pole.

i was going to just leave my reply like this, but i feel bad for you. you’ve been trained to think pvp should be “endgame” and you should have to grind out a max lvl character to get into it. i get that you feel like you’ve “earned” it by waiting until max level, but this is just years of indoctrination.

Um, not sure how to tell you this, but any ladder, in any game, hat has varying levels of gear is worthless. There’s a reason all he top pvp games, of any genre, are built around cosmetic incentives and progression through rankings and not a power curve.

Besides, it’s already in game. Just grind hose exotics and jump into WvW. I’m sure you and all the other PvE players will fit right in with each other.

The only reason sPvP is alive is because of how accessible it is to get into it. Adding a level and gear requirement will just kill any sort of population and whatever hopes of being a competitive game ArenaNet had.
