Before the patch we were able to simply log into PvP, and our pvp weapons appeared in our hands. Now we need to carry around a couple of white weapons in our inventory for when we hop into PvP, it’s pretty annoying.

Any idea if a fix is in store for this?

It’s not something to be fixed, it’s intentional to make them more money. It’s unfortunate but it’s the way it goes.

I think the idea was to get people to use different weapons for different situations through out the different game modes. I find that I am using weapons in wvwvw that I normally wouldn’t, after playing with them in pvp. So I just went ahead and crafted exotic versions for wvwvw and pve use.

Make more money by you spending 20c to buy a white weapon?

Btw, the reason for the change was to basically combine PvE and PvP as fully as possible (without changing the whole everyone gets true level 80). It was mainly a change to get PvE players into PvP, and as a small result made things a tiny bit annoying for pure PvPers. Its not that big of a deal though, you just carry around your different weapons (you don’t need sigils/runes/amulets at all anymore though).

The price of the white weapons in HotM scales with your level, if you want you can make alts and pay 0.8s for weapons instead of 4s. I’m not defending the current system I agree with your point that the old system was more convenient.
