1. How many seasons will there be this year?
2. Will you still be able to get this current backpack next year

I have been farming pvp lately to get the backpack. I just started recently and I don’t think there are enough seasons for me to cross division thresholds

4 total for the year…we are currently in Season 3.

From various other posts, Anet has confirmed that this years backpiece will be available next year—but they made no mention of how you will acquire this.

If you just started now, then no, you will not have enough time to cross divisions

There is enough time to get the backpiece. It’s just very unrealistic. The time gate is 60 days of playing 3 matches a day. All seasons so far have been 55 days. This means there is no room to miss days. For the division crossings, I’ve seen people get the backpiece in two seasons by hitting diamond in one and legendary in the other. It doesn’t add up to 10 division crossings, but I think there was a bug that gave you an extra crossing in the achievements. Not sure if they fixed that. If they did then getting legend twice is required.

Going for it now is setting yourself up for disappointment tbh.

you CAN still finish the meta achievement starting from scratch right now, it would just take you hitting legendary division in this season and the next season.

There are 7 days left in the season, you cannot get it now, you would have to cross 1 division this season, 9 divisions next season and because the achievements are split into 4 sets that are time gated you’d have to be careful to cross them at the right time. Assuming the legendary divisions count as crossing.

Division crossing achievment is not timegated, it will unlock next one right after you finish previous one, you dont have to wait for daily participator. If he can make legend in this season and the next one he will cross enaugh divisions for all achievments.

So does going up a rank in Legend count as a division cross or not?
