Hello, I am a returning player after 1 year of absence. I am trying to understand how the rating system works in this game. I have 280+ wins and something like 250 losses but I don’t appear on the score chart. I suppose it’s entirely possible I haven’t received points because I have played against low rated players. However, a guild mate I have been playing ranked with exclusively has made the top 100 in our recent exploits. I’m not very math inclined, but I would imagine I’m doing better than 50% of the player base out there. When I compare my stats with those on the leaderboards I should be sitting at least in the 90 percentile.

Correct.

So if the ladder is turned off, what is the point of having the ranked option? I know that a few of the maps are disabled, but if the rewards are the same as unranked and you aren’t actually even really being ranked at all, why not disable it until the season starts?

A pre season would be nice!

Maps, standard models and unranked players tend to have a higher percentage of people who just mess around and don’t take the games as seriously.

Krysard is correct, there is currently not an active season running, so the leaderboards are frozen.

Unless I’m mistaken, the leaderboards worked just fine before the last season was active. In fact, they seemed to be functional long before “seasons” were a thing.

Was it frozen to add “having your name at the top of the frozen leaderboard until the next season” as a reward for doing well? Because I haven’t been able to find anything posted before the end of the season that even mentioned a frozen leaderboard.

We were running off-seasons between our beta seasons, which was why the boards were active. We currently haven’t announced plans to start a new off season ladder.

You also never announced when you start the season again. Pretty boring to play soloq atm no motivation.

Only reason why I still keep playing is my team and tournaments I want to take part in.

Please start the new season already.

Hey remember when we had a PvP system that actually worked pretty well aside from the ‘decaying up’ people. Anxiously awaiting the next ‘off beta test trial season’ kittenery (sarcasm).

Remember when leaderboards actually showed the top players and not the ones who grinded out the most games? Pepperidge farm remembers.

In the meantime, we are repurposing the queues. “Unranked” is the unofficial Solo q and “Ranked” is the unofficial Team Q.

Stop trying to reinvent the wheel please. Just bring back the old leaderboard and call it a day. Other than personal improvement; I don’t see the motivation to play.

The sad thing is that the old leaderboards were really bad, but they were still better than the new ones.

They are introducing “Gold, Silver, Bronze” ratings to pve adventure leaderboards.

My hope: Maybe they adapt and put in the same system into PvP.

Is MMR affected by a ranked win or lose at this time period?
