From what I’ve read and experienced myself it seems a big problem is Conditions are now viable in PvE but are way too strong in PvP and condi based builds are now ruling where power used to rule.

Would making toughness be viable against Condition damage as well as power in PvP only help this damage dispute? No skills need to be changed, condi spammers can still spam but to a more balance affect?

Just throwing it out there. :-)

it was mentioned several times that a stat/boon for condi damage reduction would be nice.

you cant say if it really fixes the problem. it would probably be better to make condiclasses glassy as well. right now you can stack toughness and condidmg pretty easy but when you want to go powerburst you are extremly squishy.

The biggest issue we have with ‘condition spam’ is that there’s not much thought to it. It’s not very hard to do, and it’s not very fun to do (for most people). As a spirit ranger, I basically use my offensive abilities right away (assuming the target isn’t invuln, blocking, etc.), swap weapons, and use my other offensive abilities. Then I repeat this process.

With that said, I don’t see why we can’t reduce the duration and # of stacks on certain abilities for spvp only. That way the playstyle of the ability is the same for PvE, causing less confusion for players that play both, yet it helps balance these abilities out for both as well.

Another big issue is that what someone is using is not always able to be seen or differentiated. A big part of this game is that you don’t have cast bars, fancy ui/mods, etc. You look at what your opponent is doing. However, there’s a lot of abilities that are either instant or look identical to everything else, which means you have to guess and get lucky. That’s not very fun, it’s just frustrating for both players. I can’t even tell you how many times I see people complain about “random dodge rolling,” but honestly that’s what this game is forcing you to do a lot.

As allrdy mentioned Condition-spamming, especially on the necro is too easy, and due to bad animation-design is lowering the skill-floor, as dodging is more about prediction than actual skill.
However the question if toughness would balance this mess out (also healingpower came into my mind) is legit. As legi said: Condition classes have good access to toughness, which affects power-classes. On the otherway around power classes have no access to lower incoming condition-dmg. There has definitely to be something in this game, which gives power-classes a stat to balance this out (I dont want to hear ppl mention vitality here).
