Question for devs: Are you going to fix PW?
Every thief weapons are brokenly strong. Which weapon spec isn’t?
4x Necromancer, 3x Mesmer, 4x Guardian, 4x Thief, 4 Revenant
Its the instant ports that completely ignore LOS and z-axis positioning that make EVERY thief spec strong. Without the ports, thief is pretty balanced (even with the unreasonably-ness that is stealth at times) b/c I can have a pretty decent idea where a thief is. With all the ports, on top of stealth, positioning vs. a thief has no meaning. If a thief had to get in-range by running or using a risky/limited gap-closer before pistol-whipping, it wouldn’t be all the strong. Pre-casting it and instantly porting to target (not even having to aim it like blink/lightning flash, unless they use shadowstep, which gives them a free peel-back) is INCREDIBLY easy and strong.
Thieves have every get-out-jail option in the book: ports, stealth, evades all at the same time, which is really broken. Not only does having this combination work incredibly well to survive almost any situation where they don’t WAY overextend (any other dps class trying to extend that far would have long since died), but it also works incredibly well offensively and allows hard-counters of any other dps roaming build.
@Black: you forgot to add that thieves have lowest HP in game, no protection, no blocks, no stability and not so great heals. Their moblity IS the reason why they are taken on teams, if it was nerfed nobody would play thief. We don’t need another ele class.
As far as pw goes, as i said before, i recall devs saying something about changing pw into 2 spells so i think they are aware.

Withdraw is one of the strongest heals in the game. Evades, creates a gap vs. enemies, and is IMPOSSIBLE to interrupt. Also, that negligible cooldown. Regardless, I would be o.k. with giving thieves more ways to survive that weren’t “avoid all damage” because not taking damage is the best defense you can ask for.

Mobility isn’t what I am suggesting needs a fix (and comes largely from shadow-shot which isn’t a problem port), although a thief can currently be ALL OVER THE MAP pretty insanely b/c of ports through obstacles that others have to run around. I am talking about the instant-ports that are impossible to defend against. Only shadow-step is meant for mobility (although the others work by taking you max-distance towards target), and that skill is an entirely different beast (2x stunbreak on 1 skill!!)
You can interrupt Withdraw the same way you can interrupt any evasive skill. Wardings, Sanctuary and Static Field.

You can only interrupt the evade portion. The heal/cleanse procs instantly at the start of the skill, so there is no reason to interrupt it, fyi.
Edit: Also, the skills that can “interrupt” this heal are on a cast-time longer than the skill.

Add this to the broken spec that every class has. All of these need to be adjusted.
