I was just playing a match in unranked pvp – as an ele – and got downed by a group of 2 guys. I was at a point they were trying to cap. So one guy went to stomp me and I hit my downed mist form skill. So guy misses stomp and it takes a few seconds longer to kill me.

He then accuses me of being unsporting by using that skill because I had no chance of survival and should just let him stomp me. I’ve never had anybody complain about that before.

My reasoning for using that skill:
1) I’m going to use any skill available to me on my bar
2) If I stay alive for a few more seconds it prevents them from capping sooner and allows my team time to arrive
3) I’ve often bought enough time for team mate to come and revive me.

Was that unsporting of me to use that? Or is this guy just wrong?

definitely not unsporting, it was tactical (especially if you waited until the last possible moment of the stomp to activate it) as it allowed for a longer cap time and the potential for you to get reinforcements

just because it annoyed him doesn’t make it unsporting, the point of the game is to use any available tactics to try and win.
