Quitting PvP because of terrible community.
Totally fair point.
1. Welcome to online gaming.
2. Verbal abuse doesn’t mean anytime you feel insulted they broke the ToS. Unless they used a swear words, racial and or homophobic language they ain’t going to ban someone. Maybe you should just avoid playing online games with other players.
This is an mmo forum, if someone isn’t whining chances are the game is dead.
If you write a support ticket with screenshots the chances something happens is better than if you use ingame report button in my experience.

Yeh and if you are one of the people who sits out and makes your team 4v5 then you deserve to be criticized in chat because it is wrong, selfish and griefing.
And yeh, people get frustrated and may call you a “kitten” or a “mofo” but really if you can’t deal with that then you need to leave the internet because it happens and if it effects you then you really need thicker skin
Necromancer/Casual Warrior
[Team] Best WvW guild of all time. EASILY.
Its one of the main reasons i stopped playing during the weekend. People are relatively young, unexperienced and they will flame and trashtalk if anything goes wrong.
Ill stick to my late night or weekday games. Better players overall and less negativity.
I guess you never played competitive games? Someone bursted that goody good bubble, fileld with warm and cuddles?
It is pretty standard around all games, and to be honest gw2 isnt no where close to the rest, no one cares about your feelings, and people get frustrated to be so dependent on winning with team-play where there isnt actually none.

GW2s community is relatively possitive if compared to lets say a wow or mobas.
And to be honest…it IS the weekend that is the issue. During the weekend a lot of young and unexperienced people play. They are lower ranked, unexperienced yet think they know everything which results in more trashtalking.
Since the community is small and the system only cares about getting people in to matches asap (even if that means top 10 ppl are matched with rank 1s) you get weird and uneven matchups that results in frustration.
Regular weekday games are a lot more possitive. People have more experience and are laid back when it comes to winning or losing.

i think that the people that make these types of threads live in some sort of unicorn land or they think that the real world is like some sort of anime that everyone talk to each other with respect, honor and stuff.
dude its the internets, everyone trashtalks and think they are the best … if u cant deal with it, well i suggest u turn off your pc and do some activity that doesnt involve kids.
I agree people need a thicker skin. Allowing someone you didn’t know existed until they started trash talking offend you. Is a weakness imo. Not that I condone this behavior. But really its not like you are going to have them over for Thanksgiving or something.
Also says a lot about those who defend this type of behavior. Why would you even care what they have to say. They are nobody to you, will always be nobody to you, if they died the next day in a car crash, you would not care nor know. So why do you care what they have to say?
It is common knowledge most trash talkers only do that to hide behind their own inability to play. just smile and nod, and keep playing.

It’s definitely the weekend.
I usually ignore that stuff. When it gets too much I block the person. If it should cross a certain line, I would report, but that wasn’t necessary yet.
And something to remember: Every time someone feels it necessary to start trash talking, he’s taking time out of his play and so not contributing to his team. Now who’s the worse player?
Every single match someone is yelling with very heavy verbal abuse. Reporting them seems to do nothing.
Because ALL CAPS = YELLING RAWRRRRR.
PERHAPS YOU NEED TO BE LESS SENSITIVE (THIS IS THE INTERNET) AND FOCUS MORE ON IMPROVING YOUR SKILLS AS A PLAYER. YOUR ENJOYMENT OF THE GAME DEPENDS ON HOW YOU CHOOSE TO ENJOY IT. IF YOU CHOOSE TO BE OFFENDED BY THESE CAPS, OR BY PLAYERS VENTING THEIR FRUSTRATION DUE TO YOUR OWN POOR GAMEPLAY, THEN PERHAPS THE INTERNET IS NOT THE RIGHT PLACE FOR YOU TO GAME.

Maybe start to listen then? Just 2 days ago i took the 2 minutes to explain where everyone should go what to do what not to do and why.
Noone says anything, game starts and everyone does completely opposite, i tried to adapt to their “tactic” but if you play with complete tools then there is nothing to do.
If your intelligence is below any human norm i can only explain that you are doing something wrong in only way non-humans understand it.
And that is by very harshly describing your intelligence, life and family status.
When i first time started to do arenas i already had 100+ hotjoin game experience. Why? Because i respect my fellow players and didnt want to enter game without prior knowledge and drag my team down.
2 questions.
1. have you tried using only team chat in a match?
2. are you playing a hammer warrior?
