I got really mad today at this cheap kitten using one hit stealth kills and quickness on his thief to down me. So i exit to desktop as he was starting to stomp me. I leave the game,correct? he gets no kill.

Online games like this actually have code to prevent people like you from cutting the net connection to avoid dieing. You will have ‘keep alive’ counter on your connection on the server, and only once this times out with the server consider you to be out of the game. My experience of GW2 suggests is around 30 seconds…so here’s what actually happened to you:

1. You tossed your toys out the pram.
2. Hit alt-f4
3. Your character stood helplessly still inside the game for 30 seconds while the mysterious but cool thief did everything he ever dreamed of doing and then some to your body.
4. Your body disappears.
5. Thief laughs and does it to someone else.

He got that kill.

ive had ppl doing then when i was about to stomp, i even play an ele lol i have to work hard for my kills XD

what do you want us to say? That its the most pathetic action you could do in a game? As mentioned above, the thief will laugh and proceed to continue his pvp regardless of what you do.

it does work just hit return to the mist when they are about to stomp you they won’t get the stomp espcially if you got your game installed on a fast ssd disk the load time is so fast they wont even know what hit them.

Rage quitting to the mists is the best defense against a backstab thief

This is actually false this games pvp has no feature that keeps your character ingame when you logout. Furthermore all you have to do is hit the “Goto the mists” button on your PvP panel and it cheats them out of the kill. No logout required.

I’ve actually had this happen multiple times against players who I’m either about to beat, or in the process of stomping. They soon rejoin the same game. Its pretty pathetic that some people can’t accept their own defeat.

u.u LOL? Actually to leave the game correctly you have to unplug your pc when he’s in the middle of his stomp…he’s jumping, you see his feet leave the ground…that’s the moment to unplug everything, but you have to practice on timing, for a beginner i suggest to use a pair of scissors to rapidly cut the power cable right near psu, well you’ll need some money for a new cable every stomp but with practice you’ll finally learn the manual unplug art and share it with friends…

Your “experience” is fictional.

If you spent even 30 seconds testing this in game you could have saved yourself the time it took you to post this. GW2 has no such measure implemented. You can drop aggro instantly in PvE and PvP? You’re kidding yourself if you actually believe this.

You drop instantly back to the mists. No “standing around like a robot” for 30 seconds. I n s t a n t l y.

Next time you’re gonna post passive aggressively… at least make sure you’re right.

Leaving for not being stomped is the worst childish and useless crap i’ve ever seen, ever…what’s the point of doing something like that? The one who downed you can’t get a kill? Is this for real or is this a troll?

I mean it sounds like you got beat fair and wanted to rob him of his points. Sad to say he still got them man…My friend and I have tested this out and yes…he still got credit and still got points.

not sure if i should say this but if the teams are not full and they are not an even total number, u can just join the other team before u get stomped and then instantly swap back to your team and than you will be downed but not dead at the waypoint
