Raid of Capricon remake?
thats why you have sharks
Its danger/reward map
i’d rather have them remove the map altogether, i sincerely fear the day this horrible map will join tournament queue
Im with you, Pray.
I don’t mind the map.. although I’m not a huge fan of the sharks honestly.
Would be cooler imo to have clean underwater fights (no sharks).

lol same. it has everything i hate about spvp.. siege weapon, npcs, and underwater combat. god forbid we get a map without any gimmicks.
just make a full map underwater

This.
The sharks are annoying, the layout is annoying, the pirate ship is annoying. It’s too small, the list goes on.
Underwater fighting is god awful for pvp.
Everybody’s complaining about the sharks but seriously, they’re there for a reason. Without them, ruins would be a darn flickerswitch. It would force the fight to there because it’s so close to all of them. Frankly, the sharks help to emphasize that:
1) Ruins is important, though uncomfortable to attack. If you leave it, you’ll feed the enemy points because you couldn’t be bothered to get over yourself. If you take it early it helps a lot.
2) If the enemy is defending ruins, they’re down a couple guys. Any team fight is in your favour because you have your full team there. Take both ground objectives and get aggressive.
Frankly, the sharks aren’t that bad. I’ve had at least two matches where a decent ranger and me, guardian, took out the lot and still took the point from a defender. I can’t speak for skill but it’s entirely possible.
It’s a challenge, just like stealing the buffs in Forest of Niflhel. Rise to it and get aggressive.

The annoying thing is, if a good player is defending the ruins, that player combined with sharks can defend it from 3 players. I know, I’ve done it, as a Ranger. I take a pet shark for extra luls.
I hope it never makes it into Tournament play.
I don’t understand why people fight the sharks. You know you can kite them right? This isn’t some monumental discovery is it? People can’t be that stupid.
If there is someone defending the Ruins get the other points. They are one man down which means they have less forces on the ground. If you have 2-point control you force them to go offensive which means you can go solo cap Ruins by kiting the sharks NOT standing there and fighting and losing half your health.
If you haven’t figured this out you are stupid: You can swim in a circle around the edges of the Ruins point and effectively kite the sharks. You might get hit once or twice if you are not good at dodging, but it’s better than standing there and tanking. By the time someone comes back to defend, the point should be neutral and the sharks should be aggressive towards both of you.
