Rampage buff was not needed
Rampage and Lich form just need looking at.
Simply because they promote a “11111111111” play-style as soon as they’re pressed.

If you simply spam 111 on rampage you are wasting lots of potential and wont do much in the end.

This doesn’t apply to Rampage.

As a casual shark SPvPer, it’s pretty rare I see something on the forums I can call out as bullkitten.
“Rampage was the standard elite for GS warriors prior to the most recent update.”
That’s bullkitten. I’m calling it. Almost every warrior ran the elite signet. Rampage was very easy to avoid, and the swiftness and fury had a better pay off. They just did. Almost every GS warrior ran with the signet elite. Period.
I won’t say that current rampage is totally balanced. Not because it seems impossibly broken, but because I don’t have the data to fully support that statement. Obviously it’s stronger, but it doesn’t seem any worse than lich form (or Moa bird for 1v1).
I’ve played a LOT of GS warrior, but am a Necro main, thus do not really care if warriors get nerfed or not. I’m unbiased but well informed on this topic. Rampage simply was not good before this patch.
Also, as stated, if you just spam 1 in rampage you are definitely doing it wrong.

This is kind of right, except that DPS warrior was not meta, so rampage wasn’t meta. It was a solid “fun” build.
Rampage didn’t need to be buffed, it’s already the right choice in a dps build. Problem is, it’s the only thing that pushes dps warrior into the meta right now. It needs a nerf, but only if you take down some of the other apex builds with it (cough mesmer/ele).

Oh, sorry, 12345, then hit whatevers off cooldown from there on.

Not that rampage isn’t innately strong, but no, only bad warriors faceroll in rampage.
A good warrior should be executing proper stun juggles with it. 2-5-4-1-1-1 for example, more options available if quickness procs

I would agree with you 100%. Well stated.
Especially the reduced CD on the abilities from another patch. CC already doesn’t require timing and now it’s even more mindless stunlock while critting for 6k.

Rampage isn’t OP compared to what’s currently out there….it’s good at holding a point for a bit but 1v1 it’s hardly a god.

Nobody uses Rampage to 1v1. TCG managed to 3-man wipe to rampage at the start of a match vs oRNG on legacy, so it’s obviously pretty powerful.
nah i am war using rampage but this rampage really need nerf. but cele ele need more nerf as fast as possible

It’s a tricky thing, I find it cool that it was made a Physical Skill and would like it to stay as one. One possible solution would be to lower the default damage by a bit, or not have sigils work while it’s active (I’m fairly certain they do atm).
Let’s not forget that this is a team game and that now both Engis and Mes have access to a transformation skill that is very good at shutting down Rampage.

If you press 111111 you’re doing something wrong mate.
I really do not think rampage needs nerfed, it’s basically like lich form to me. Yeah the stances carrying over and being able to stomp/rez should be looked at, but damage/cd wise I think it’s fine.
Most people are smart enough to get away from it when they see it, and necros can just plague over it. It does have some counter play.

We could give it the lich treatment, 15 second duration, 180 second cooldown.

Well what needs to happen obviously, is to prevent rampage from allowing capture point contribution. Since right now if you don’t have moa or access to permanent blind uptime, you have to either run and give the point up to the warrior, or die and do the same thing.
If you’re a necro and use plague to bait it out, the warrior will still get to cap the point since plague, and tornado are tanky transforms so they don’t allow capture point progression since that would obviously be unfair… so why is rampage any different? It makes warriors much tankier with perma-stability, so its completely unfair that they can still cap points.
