I just came from a match in which a ranger fired RF ( naturally ) into me while stealthed and was not revealed.

It’s crazy making to see rangers keep getting increased in power and stealth given to practically all classes.

Allowing ranger to fire from extreme range from stealth and not be revealed is just way too much.

Well, technically reveal only applies once it hits a target, not when they attack. So yeah, if they get enough distance and lob the barrage well enough, you won’t see it coming.

Thieves are the same way, thats why they don’t get revealed on a dodge, block or blind. It has to actually hit something to remove stealth.

I’m sure that ranger used it’s only stealth (10 second cooldown) again before revealed (4 seconds) would of expired. This might be an issue if they had on demand stealth like a thief or mesmer, but they don’t. I could see a change in the future if more access was added but seriously, it’s a waste of dev time. It has zero impact on you eating a Rapid Fire instead of dodging.

You got outplayed by better player than yourself.

So what I hear you saying is “Rangers should have special privileges and stealth rules shouldn’t apply to us.” ( we only have; nearly as much stealth as a thief, more damage and more range by a considerable margin… of course we should have special stealth too.)

@shanks.2907 That’s inaccurate, Rangers have two stealths. You know that since the second stealth was just buffed. You also know that rangers have on-demand stealth from longbow.

Umm, OP are you sure you didn’t encounter the bug where people just go permanently invisible?

What bug is that? This ranger hit me with the RF and remained stealthed. He popped back a bit later.

can back up op’s story happened to me a day ago was fighting a thief and started dieing real fast, i was waiting for the stealth to break so i could insta pop him (SD zerker engineers can melt thiefs incredibly quick when they break stealth) and he never broke stealth, at the time i was fully confused as to what just happened but luckily i was filming at the time and went back to watch, for a good 2 seconds you see all the hit animations appearing on me as well as the damage but the thief is never revealed well not until a while later, i assumed it was my current not so great internet but since apparently Ithilwen had the same problem its most likely either a great new bug introduced from all this HOT stuff going on or someones found a fancy new hack.
