It was like this right after patch, but since then I have seen quite a few matches with 1 ranger. Also I see a lot more build diversity than just Long Bow.

What you are witnessing is the fact players are more confident Rangers can manage PvP now, and thus you will continue to see this uptick on some level of population per match.

It’s better to have 1-3 rangers each match than 5 necros or mesmers or warriors. But that will continue to happen as well.

I had a 5v5 ranger solo queue on battle of kylo…what a kitten show that was. Fun as hell though.

I was actually in a hotjoin match. 5 rangers vs 5 necros. Not even kidding, that’s how the teams ended up.

Rangers got beaten pretty bad, but it was an interesting match. Sadly most of those rangers were longbow snipers and had no condition cleansing.

(EDIT: except the necros got beaten in that video. But otherwise EXACTLY like the good old days… including the RNG! :p)

It doesn’t help that ranger condition cleansing is almost entirely dependent on pulling the conditions to our pet rather than actually cleansing them. Necromancers are uniquely equipped to exploit that.
