I agree with the OP. The professions that yield more results through less effort are always more common, and now Tournaments are the new Hot Join. Shrug

BM Roam and Phant mes are the 2 uber tier no skill 1v1 builds.
They were both a problem since release, but recently since the ranger pet buffs we’ve been seeing more of them and in response people are going to roll phant to hard counter BM roams 1v1 ability even if they don’t main a mesmer.
Good news though! Vs a decent team these no skill 1v1 builds suffer due to being really bad for team fights. A good mixed team of semi-premades (so like 3 and 2 queue) should still out play a premade of teams full of easymode 1v1 builds.
It sucks for hot join and duels but its best to just ignore them

ehh. rangers are one of the least professions i see. usually the top are guardians and warriors for some odd reason.. every once in a while you get a theif heavy spvp and whatever team has more theives usually loses because they run too mucha nd refuse to hold points. i never see a ton of mesmers but a consistant 2 atleast maybe 3 per spvp(not the majority)
and like dashi said .. a small group of premades should beat anyone really. nomatter what profession they are.
