Guild Wars 2

Pretty much as title reads. Hitting rank x9 will give the player 2 chests: one of current finisher (in my case tiger), and a chest for the next finisher (should’ve been bear). When I ranked up I saw the two chests in the initial reward pop-up, but I never actually received the bear chest; the chat-log only displayed 1 Tiger chest received. I believe this happened to me going from 38 to 39, but I can’t quite recall as it was a while ago.

Anyone else find this issue?

It was a bug and got fixed as the poster above you only get bear chests from 50-59

Erm, when did this get fixed? I reached rank 49 a couple days ago

I’ve received it like this before as well. I don’t remember if it’s at x9 or once you reach 30,40 etc though.
However, you don’t get both chests, you get to choose one. In your case, you can choose between the tiger chest or the bear chest. If you don’t choose one, it will default to the lower tier chest, which was tiger for you.

Is that really how it is? I didn’t see any option to choose like you see, for example, after finishing the tutorial area for a character (choose one weapon or another).

Plus, why would anyone choose the lower tiered one?

happened to me hitting 39 a month or 2 back too.

It always shows two chests from 2 different tiers if you reach x9 but you only get the one from the lower tier for some reason

Happened to me a second ago. Got shown Wolf & Tiger at 39. I made sure to click Tiger, but still only got Wolf.

that bug exist since forever…at x9 rank it gaves double chest but you (Obviously) don’t get the higher rank one cause you’re not there.

Anet’s bug fixing ftw as usual…didn’t know it was still there cause i did r60 months ago and still need a kitten ton of rank points for 69, but it just gives you an idea on how much they really care bout this game…it should be a really hard fix…rofl

It’s been a while but I believe it gives you the option to choose whether you’d like the current tier chest or the next tier chest upon reaching X9 rank. If you just click it real fast it gives you the default one – i.e. the lower ranked chest. I don’t believe it was intended to give both, it’s not real clear either that you’re supposed to choose. I only ever got it right once, even after 60+ ranks :/

No, I had it happen after I read this here, so I made sure to click the higher-ranked one. Still only got the other one.

It doesn’t matter what you click..it only gives you the lower one because well..if you are 49 you are not bear….it’s just visual bug i guess, funny thing is that it’s still there..

Yeah it happened to me yesterday when I reached rank 39. It showed that I will get two chests, but when I pressed to receive it, I only got one.
