Why aren’t we being matched in floors of ranks?
players ranks 1-10 will be matched together, 11-20, 21-30 and so on.
I’m tired of having a rank 3 player in my team when I’m rank 51.

cause this ranks mean nothing and there are some rank 5 players better than rank 50s

rank shows only time played – nothing more

show me a non smurf rank 5 who is better than a rank 50 ?

Facts: high ranked players are alot more likely to have experience with each of the classes and therefore would know more about how countering different specs.
high ranked players are much more likely to be better overall.
high ranked players have more experience in spvp since they played longer.

I doubt any non smurf r5 is better than rank 50s (even if skyhammer farmer), unless they got a lot of pvp experience from WvW.

Rank means experience

i see so much rank 40 50 or even 60 bad palyers – rank means nothing its just time played

oh and im 51 too and say this – rank means nothing

i am rank 29 currently and i have beaten bunch teams (not all of them but still) consisiting of rank 50-60… what’s your point?

i agree rank does represent certain amount of experience but it doesn’t represent skill nor team work

you also have to realize that if they actually implemented that change, not only queues would be insanely long but very skilled players of same rank would wash the floor with low skilled players of same rank aka getting free points

i think there should be rank requirement for ranked like you should be at least rank XY before you can start doing ranked that way you won’t have rank 1 getting destroyed in ranked matches

This gets banded about so often yet it is never proven. And even if we can find one aspect, I can show 500 instances of low level players being worse when the gap is big. Every one instance of a new account being better than a seasoned played, I will produce 500 showing the other way.

actually i think i saw on Caed’s stream someone smurfing on rank 5 or so.. i know there was person with 1 digit for rank on scoreboard

What i will ask instead is why in the end of the match it shows the rank instead of the position in the leaderboards of the player…

This thema is so old and its unbelievable how much people still go for this carrot.
Rank just show how much games you farmed and there are so many ppl with a farmed rank from hotjoin total failing in tournaments cause dont know how to rotate or how to paly in a team.

arenanet should finally remove this from statistics cause its to hard for people to know this
