Re-buff grenade kit, and buff other kits.

Remotely viable does not mean good. It means remotely viable.
Engineer isn’t picked these days for just about any team. They’ve fallen too far, and grenades, AND their other kits, need to be buffed back up to being on par with the options of other classes
the only thing playable about it is the grenade barrages really, the auto atk could be rebalanced i think. i feel like the grenades are balanced as if they will always hit, u use grenadier trait and you dont have to aim it yourself, in practise ur lucky if 2 grenades hit, ur lucky if u dont get obstructed or just have them hit some floor, and ur super lucky if ur target dont just move! that being said glass grenade barrage is no problem!! in super close range
personally i think only the elixr gun and flamethrower need sorting out, flamethrower is good on paper but never hits people on inclines, the number 2 (main dmg skill, is odd and will only hit withing about 600-900 range) elixir gun has buggyness relating to the rifled barrels trait and could probably do with a buff to the fumigate and auto

now engineers are terrible but don’t worry, few months from now everyone will think that they are terribly overpowered without any buffs…. just like ele

Elem DD got such a boost in popularity because since release they had yet to find a good build. The game was really young and new build were still being tested.
Most engineer build have been tested, and even if we discover new one, it shouldn’t be different enought to offer any kind of pure awesomess like it did for DD.
I think a good player can do fairly well in sPvP, but we don’t have much place in the current META.
Especially since we got a 30% damage nerf on our only viable build.
Before the nerf, it wasn’t even FotM.

i dont think they are terrible they are just buggy.. and alot of juggling heres some underestimated things on engi. personally i play glass cannon rifle/kits engi with 62% crit dmg 42% crit rate i think but perm fury and sigil of minor accuracy
1. ELIXER GUN!!!
its underestimated because its situational but….
1. auto atk when used with rifled barrels causes 3secs of weakness (its a bug but hey! we deserve some possitive ones)
2. its a very low cooldown cripple and also can grant u swift and allys but its abit buggy at that, but with rifled barrels cooldown is like 5 sec, dmg is ok also
3. fumigate… its pretty crap dmg but its a good condition stacker, also it cures up to 5 conditions on ur allys, super handy if your playing with a friend
4. a totally amazing skill.. scales well with power/crit this is seriously awesome, its basically a powerful well and a retreat in 1, and on a seriously low cooldown, this retreat will do aoe dmg of about 1700 per tick! on crits.. and people are oblivious to it often.
5. super elixr is super… its not a great heal but u can keep 100% uptime on the light field if you so wish by using the kit refinement, it also gives 2 free cures aswell as the cure projectile finisher.. is great if ur not relying on cleansing formula!

more lowcooldown super abilitys, shield is pretty much self explaitory but magnet pull is super awesome not just cos its a control but because u know exactly where they will be can easily be comboed as such
magnetpull > pry bar (also awesome dmg) > switch to grenade kit (free barrage) > grenade barrage toolbelt 1
box of nails (from switching to kit)> magnetpull > pry bar > elixir gun no4
magnet pull > prybar > blunderbuss >overcharged shot> jump shot
i think static discharge is abit broken so i dont use it but KIT REFINEMENT!!! epic!!
also the medkit skills are throwable is an awesome trait as it changes all the cooldowns (another bug :P) giving you 100% uptime on fury/swift with just the no5 skill.
even though the grenade auto isnt what it used to be, grenade barrage aswell as no2.4.5 grenades are sick… engi has awesome comboing opportunitys and can easily to some sick dmg in short time, the main thing i have noticed is you shouldnt be using auto atk very much because they basically arent that good, rifle one is ok when ur chasing but you should be trying to netshot/magnet pull and combo them out of that, theres so many different low cooldown combo options its just the buggyness that makes engi under represented!

Um… Tool Kit is freaking amazing in just about every single build. Even Pry Bar’d someone for 4500ish damage yesterday when I was messing around with a roaming build. Add in 3 second block and a Knockdown that pulls the target to you from a 1200 range and you’ve got one hell of a kit.
The Blind Field on Bomb Kit alone is enough for me to use it. Plus it comes with a AOE Blowout ability, a 3 second Immobilize AOE, and a Fire Field that does a crazy amount of damage if you snare someone on it.
But yeah… Flamethrower only seems good for the Profession Skill and the Blowout ability. Elixir and Grenade do seem pretty crappy right now, too. The only good thing I see about grenades is the redonkulous range.
nah grenades arent crappy, its just that the grenadier trait is pretty much mandatory if for nothing else, the barrage and kit refinement barrage is nice as a “downed player” finisher when u dont wanna get messed up on ur rifle glass cannon. and yeah ability to quickly vulnerability stack, and get some nice amount of trait bleeds and trait burns, as well as the no2 being great dmg and applying 3x 12 sec bleed? the poison nades can easily give people 30 secs worth, and the chill is sweet also, blinds are ok, but meh its only gonna make them miss once.. and bomb yeah they are sweet, i dont really use them for powah builds but for condy builds.. ahhh that confusion bomb… 5 stacks aoe… its just too nice! used with static shot and prybar, u can pretty much 10 confusion stack someone i mean.. magnet pull-prybar-concussion bomb-blowtorch-static shot
elixir gun is good u just cant look at at as weapon more of a support kit, and flamethrower is just buggy and broken, even the juggernaught trait will only give 5x stacks of might without might runes etc, ur actually better off using that 3x might stack on heal, and just switching in and out of med kit every 10 secs lol.. i mean that gives u instant might, and totals 6 stacks without might duration.
