You know…since Anet wants to integrate the two game modes. Just like PvP’ers need to do map completion to get their legendary, all PvE’ers now have to reach current r55+ levels to get a legendary.

Equal treatment for PvE and PvP.

My question is, will this Legendary crafting in PVP require max crafting skills or will it be doable strictly through the means of PVP? Because forced crafted (Ascended) is why I stopped playing PVE all together, I haven’t played it since…

You will be able to gain probably most of the parts for Legendaries out of PvP.

But you still need 100% map exploration for the gift of exploration and you also need this WvW stuff.

Don’t ask for the logics behind this.

I don’t know much about Legendary crafting, but probably you shoudln’t need a crafting level above 400. Even with 400 I’m not sure.

I’ve posted about this a lot before but now it’s actually come to fruition. While I think rank 55 is very high compared to how easily a legendary can be gained through pve, I’d still like to see something like this so that random pvers aren’t coming in on April 15th with the best skins available in pvp for zero work.

I hate that they posted the updates in the pvp forums as if ‘Here it is guys! We’ve listened to you and it’s party time!’ It’s not. All the rewards are for PVE players who already have the high level skins. People who have played pvp have nothing and are getting nothing. But 1.5 years after people in PVE have gained their legendary skins, the frozen skins, the fractal skins or whatever we’re allowed to start gathering materials for them.

Joke much?

You’re not forced to craft ascended unless you want to run high level fractals.

More like, I don’t run highlevel PvE or do much in WvW because I’m forced to grind and get high level crafting. :P

But I was referring to creating them in PVP.

There is no “creating them in PvP”.
You are only able to farm some of the ingredients via PvP.
The Creating of Legendaries stays the same.

The new PvP reward system will directly give things like Gifts of Mastery, completely bypassing many of the most stringent requirements for Legendaries. With the upcoming update, PvP will be the -only- game mode where a Legendary can be obtained without ever doing anything else.

So yes please, let’s hear about how hard it is for PvP players now that rewards from all aspects of the game are going to be handed to you for casual arena matches. How many dungeons do I need to grind to unlock the Dragon finisher exactly?

Please explain what is getting ‘handed’ to us when PVE players will be walking into pvp with the best skins available while pvp players are being graced with the opportunity to begin gathering parts to make those skins which were available to everyone else at launch.

And if you had actually read the article you’d know that pvpers will still need to go out and achieve map completion which means playing a hefty amount of pve and wvw, whilst pvp and wvw players need never step foot into pvp to craft a legendary if they so desire.

Wow, this is an interesting idea. This idea does sound very fair actually, To earn the right to wield a legendary perhaps people should have to do some pvp. I really don’t care personally, but it sounds fair. I wonder if this is something that will happen in the future. PvP is still a work in progress so i guess this could not be put there in the past, but it does seem fair to require people to achieve in all game modes to get a legendary.

PvP exclusives that are equivalent to PvE Legendary’s.

I won’t be playing pve for a pve legendary so will most likely be selling all my pve mats for gold. Hopefully, one day I can work towards a pvp exclusive legendary skin versus a pve legendary skin.

As both a heavy pve and pvp’er, it would be great to have pvp only skins that you can acquire only from pvp. I understand this adds a level of work for the development team, but it would be nice to have ways to show time spent in pvp versus time spent in pve. For one thing, I always get a kick doing /rank in pve and dropping a tiger, while others drop rabbits, deer, and dolyaks.

It’s not that this is necessary, but it helps create a sense of achievement and a way to display where we’ve spent our time, instead of people who spent time only in pve getting to showcase the best skins in every part of the game. I feel for those who pvp only.

I really thought they were going to only reward legendaries to the best pvp players using some kind of season method. With this system everyone in a few weeks will all be having legendaries if they play long enough just another grind.
