I specifically want to know how the Revenant’s ability to channel legends will affect the 6-10 skills, and also how they overlap with specializations.
Put your questions on Revenant & Specializations in PvP below, please keep it constructive and don’t talk about how ‘this Ready Up sux’.
I can’t watch the video at work, but I still have the same question I’ve had since the announcement.
What about the class mechanic is going to change with specialization? We saw in the trailer the Druid still had the pet so is it limited in some fashion?
How are specializations ‘traited’? Is another trait line introduced if you specialize? Does the druid line replace a pre-existing line? Both of these would kind of leave you with a Ranger + Staff. I’m curious how they’ll seperate the Ranger and Druid.
Most important of all though… any other specialization names you care to share?

This is what the blog said that the Ready Up would be about:
This week on Ready Up, Josh is joined by Jebro, fresh from his trip to PAX South for the Heart of Thorns announcement, to discuss the upcoming World Tournament Series Invitational Qualifier!
Ready Up will air live on the Guild Wars 2 Twitch channel this Friday, January 30, at 12:00 p.m. PDT (19:00 UTC). We’ll see you then!
The fact that some people though it said all new exclusive information on HoT would suggest that people can’t read.

As i said in the other thread you posted -_-, they did not really say anything about WTS, except that its happening.

That is a bit beside the point though, is it not?
People are complaining about the lack of HoT information, which makes very little sense since there were nothing at all that indicated that there would be any HoT information.

Not really, sure people expected them to talk about HoT abit, but I’m sure people would of understood that the details would be announced, and not given out on the first ready up after the Xpac announcement. The fact that they did not elaborate on the THEME of the ready up episode is disturbing…………
Could we get some schedule for such “teasers” and “previews” on the main site, similar to what’s been done with September Feature Pack?
Maybe just for a month or so, but it would be easier to access and people would have the general idea.
From me:
We’ve seen that Jory has specific animation for Necro GS. Will Charrs get a distinct one, considering our GS animations differ quite a lot from human-shaped toons and races. Could use a preview, too.
Question number two, regarding specs:
I get that Specs may “fill up” certain spaces professions are lacking.
But were they also designed to maybe expaand on specific playstyles? For example, let’s say Necro GS specs brings dungeon tools like cleave or boons. But will it expand on idea of Power Necro, maybe making some mechanics more encouraging and so on?
How do specializations affect weapon and utility skills. Do they modify, replace, buff, or simply give additional skills.
The revenant wears a blindfold, does this imply it will have Ritualist style skills. The description kinda sounds more like a new version of dervish. Maybe the blindfold is because the Revenant is a Kormir follower? In short, what are the characteristics of this new class?

Well, I can tell you that Specializations will unlock those mechanics. They will close off certain options in doing so, too. New traits from specializations are to replace current traits. Whether specialization unlocked utilities will replace existing utility/heal/elite skills, as they do traits, that is unknown currently.
