I have been stalking the forums lately and I haven’t seen a single dev response in regards to how the new sigil changes will overpower warriors, once again.

Is it an uncomfortable topic that they don’t want to approach?
or
Do they believe these changes will affect classes somewhat evenly?

They also say nothing to Sigils for Eles and Engineers. Specially Eles need love and the new sigils will hurt them like a truck.

I think they’re waiting until the patch hits to see exactly how much balance will need to be made. So yeah, definetly some professions will be more benefited from the sigil changes than others, but one change at time.

There is going to be lots of changes with the rework of sigil/runes, ferocity implementation and some balance changes. They should see what is going to be stronger/weaker after all changes and after that they should balance around that.

The problem then becomes, how long until THAT balance patch? As a precedent, we’re already long overdue.

ALL IS VAIN.
PvP modes are the “endgame” in every MMO.
Stop failing at PvE, start fixing PvP/WvW. Thank you.

Exactly the issue here. Had they set a better precedent, you wouldn’t see 90% of the complaints on the forums.

wise words. None of us will predict how these changes will play out in practice. Hold off the tears untill late May. By then it should be clear what needs to be done.

I say, don’t care about it now.
When we can test in real, we can complain.
But we still don’t see in real action how they effect things with this ferocity change, sigils , new traits and so on.

Sure, we can wait until the patch hits to see how it balances it all out. And we can wait some more if things are imbalanced to put out a patch. And more waiting. That’s the problem here, we’ve been waiting and waiting for them for months for balance updates.

If ANET put out balance fixes a lot more often, people wouldn’t be so antsy about potential imbalances. So yeah, I think it’s reasonable for people to voice their concerns NOW so they don’t have to wait 6 months to see it fixed.

The upcoming changes won’t overpower warriors once again, but rather it will make them more powerful than their current overpowered state.

Such a huge amount of time without balance patches, and unwillingness to remove bad ideas (I’m looking at you, berserker stance and dhuumfire) is going to be the biggest problem. If something in this patch unbalances or overpowers something else, it may as well be permanent because of how long inbetween each patch, and how little certain things get nerfed after some superbuff(8% healing signet…).

Much faster, smaller balance updates would be a wonderful thing to help get better balance.

8% healing signet nerf is fine. Berserker stance is really not that strong. Dhuumfire will be on life blast now, so for a regular player it will be weaker.

However…. hambow with those 2 extra sigils will get extra strong. Something else should be nerfed somehow to compensate for that I think. For example cleansing ire which is very, very strong.

They haven’t said all of the balance changes that are coming, they have probably figured out a way to balance hambow and not buff it with double sigils. Let’s come back to this when they tell us all the balance changes or on April 15.

Anet likely didn’t want to remove the armor stats entirely because…well,
we’ve all seen what happens in games where there’s no disadvantage to taking your pants off.

Do you know that I have to bring zerker stance and signet of stamina and cleansing ire melandru rune and -40% condition food just to survive against condition spamming build that can easily re apply chill cripple bleeding and poison you guys needs to play more against good player not those up leveled one running around like a rat being chased by a cat

How do you use food buffs in PvP? If you have issues related to WvW or warriors, please use the WvW or warrior forum to avoid confusion.

P.s.: I didn’t know about the 5 sec icd on the sigil. Maybe they will push it to 9 sec but do keep in mind warriors have to invest 15 points to get fast-hands. It does not come as default. I remember a runeset that gave 1 sec reduction on weaponswap cooldown. Maybe they’ll change it to make 5sec weaponswaps possible for all classes but not to make warriors able to do instant weaponswaps all the time.
