Really bad luck tanking rating?
i went from 300 to 85% once thanks to non stop skyhammer/spirit watch bullkitten…get at me heh
[Teef] guild :>
ok, I’m done. This is so kittening kittened. I’ve not won once today either, and I’ve sunk to such a low rating that I can easily win 2v1’s. my team just lost despite our individual scores being twice as high as the other teams. the only difference is the other team understands the meaning of holding points and decapping our unguarded points.
Is it because I ran tpvp the other night and boosted my ranking to 90%? Is it putting me on bad teams to “balance” out the match?
edit: sorry for the rant, this is just highly frustrating.

ok, I finally got a win. after 13-15 games of straight loses. The other team had a rank 1 and several around rank 10. They had more that twice 3/5’s of our teams indivdual score. The only reason we won was they couldn’t bunker for crap. and we had one dedicated bunker, and I was decapping.
I think ANET has something in their matchmaking to do this. It seems like one side is intended to win from the start. If it happens, rankings stay the same. If it doesn’t, that when you see more movement up and down.
If you get into planned losing team rut, just do something else for the day.
I’ve been hit by this as well. In the past 3 days I went from an 84% rating in soloQ to a 67% rating. This is over the course of about 30 games played.
Too much Skyhammer and Spirit Watch, as well.
I’ve seen a disproportionate number of 4v5s against my team, I’ve even seen a 2v5 at the start of the match (with 3 zoning in just as the gates opened), needless to say even that 10-15 second delay cost us the match. Bad class comps (4 or 5 thieves/mesmers on our team while the other team had a balanced comp with at least 2 heavies), very low ranked players who didn’t even understand the basics of objectives on the maps.
My performance was usually quite good, but it wasn’t enough to carry the bad teams.
I play soloQ to have fun and engage in challenging matches, not to get terrible teams repeatedly and to lose badly through no fault of my own.
I’d rather wait a few minutes longer for the system to find a good match, then to get thrown into a bad situation. Also, the matchmaking system should make an effort to put together balanced class/role comps too.
