the last thing we need is more thief………. -.-
YOU gonna be a thief and YOU gonna be a thief and YOU gonna be a thief….
EVERYONE is a thief…..
-Total War: Warhammer
-Guild Wars 2
Wasn’t saying I was going to stay thief, just was giving an example of what I have been playing and getting frustrated with. Was asking for tips in general about SPvP whether it be other classes or well anything you can think of.

Go to 1v1 arenas in custom servers, in the hotjoin list
Practice 1v1 against various classes
Learn which ones a thief kills and which ones counter your thief
Learn the rock/paper/scissors of how metabuilds counter each other
Then ask a currently active & good thief player to give you tips on rotations
some good resources..

Highly recommend reading through some of the guides on qqmore, then check out metabattle if anything to see what people are likely to be running, so you will have a better idea on how to build your character in regards to the meta. Then when starting to play watch some good videos demonstrating how your build/class is played this can help alot!
Dueling is not bad, but be aware of what it will and will not teach you..

Also record your gameplay if possible and look over it from time to time, once you are not in the moment of an intense fight you will quickly start to see your bad habits, and what you did wrong and right. this can really help you improve.
Lastly try to have fun(it is a game) and find some people to play with, this game is alot better in terms of wvw/pvp if not done solo, especially if not the best of players yet.
Thanks,
Yeah I have never been too good at finding people to play with in GW2. IDK why, when I play WoW I make friends easy. Guess its my unfamiliarity with GW2 .
