Reduce points to win in sPvP to 300 for solo queue
Rather, some sort of “foreit” button would be nice if certain conditions are met (non even team numbers, score difference is huge between teams).
In certain matches a team can totaly change the course of the fight overturning it. If you decrease the point this will hardly happen. I don’t agree.

I love the matches you’re referring to, but to respond to your point;
A) Those turnarounds would happen even more often because the point gaps wouldn’t be as large. It’s just a matter of perspective and degree.
B) Even if point A was proven false, the added benefit of many more very close matches would, for me, outweigh the loss of these extremely rare matches you speak of

Solstice is talking about solo arena, where 4 vs 5 situations may occur often, or when at least one team member has given up the will to fight.
the chances of overturning are almost impossible by then.
in team arena, i have experienced losing 300 – 100 games myself and recovering from 100 – 300 games as well.
solo arena, well, you cannot expect the 4 other team mates to perform the same as you, right? and one person alone cannot carry the team, this is not DOTA2.
Ruining the game of 5vs5 matches to solve the problems of 4vs5?
I’m not up with that either.

You’re forgetting respawn and travel time in turn around matches. If you’re doing badly and wipe reducing the total points required to win while keeping maps the same size and respawn timer the same will result in fewer turn arounds because the benefit from the downtime increases.
Secondary objectives are also scaled with 500 in mind so they become OP with 300 cap OR you reduce their value and they aren’t worth the time investment compared with cap point ticks.
Basicly the game is balance around 500 and altering that would require a complete overhaul not just a reduction in total point requirement for win.
Just include /resign like GW1 had and your problem is solved without messing up the exciting close games.
you don’t make sense. i played 10 matches yesterday in soloq and only 1 of them was within 150 points when it ended, the rest were blowouts. One of my games I won 500-29 and it was soloq full 5v5 on legacy.
9 out of those 10 games, the second half of the match was a waste of time just waiting to re-queue.
i don’t want to /resign because i’m losing. 0-300 or 300-0 are equally as boring.
Maybe they could instead add a “200 point rule” if you get ahead by 200 points the game is over.
I make perfect sense, its just counter to your opinion so you don’t want to think about it. /resign is the obvious solution to your problem without requiring a massive rebalance of the point system, map size and res timers. For instance guild lord kills worth 150 points when getting 200 points ahead wins the game??
/resign works in plenty of games there is no reason to make an automatic process that ends the game outside the current first to 500.
Pfff, such bullkitten man. 500 allows awesome comebacks.
As much as /resign might sound attractive, I can’t help but remember Red resign...
I’ve been down 200 points multiple times in solo queue and come back from it. Sometimes it’s not that your team is too bad to win, it’s just that mistakes were made in the early game. Shortening the matches doesn’t solve the problem anyways. It just makes you believe you’re not wasting your time when there should just be a way for a team to surrender.
i dont understand how comebacks would be less often if the winning score was 300. if anything they would be more common. actually its mathematically certain that comebacks would happen more often. teams would have to play with 300 in mind obviously. The lord/orb/bosses might make sense to reduce their value a little bit.
your reasoning is flawed as kitten. If games were played to 1000, more comebacks would happen than the current 500. that doesn’t mean its a better idea. in teamq i think 500 needs to say where it is, but in soloq with such terrible matchmaking and MMR calculation, almost every single match is decided by 300 points.
200 point win rule, 300 points win by 50+, there are other ways to make it work as well but in general there are far too many games where it is clearly over and the rest of the game is a waiting fest that contributes to more players leaving when they expect such wait fest.

Explain why you think both these things are true. While your at it explain why my logic is false while you’re able to write the above words xD
lol you got me on that i didn’t word the 2nd part like I meant to the first part I still implore you to answer
the 2nd part I meant to say that there would be bigger comebacks as in coming down from behind 300 or even 400.
