Thanks for letting us know Mr. Grouchopotomus.
I look forward to your grouchyness—- get it?
You put alot of work into this and thanks for putting the time and effort into this, setting it up, getting quality guests, and showing your grouchBRO-ness.
Groucharooo, i luv you! Thanks again
I hope the community is not too Count Grouchula about the fact that there are no devs.

Devless sounds like a nice change of pace. Hope the panel is bigger then to account for that.
Grouch please invite me to SOTG. The community needs nattys input.
Oh and devless is probably better because having devs just wastes time with them being wishy washy with their responses.
You should have a representative from each profession with a list of possible topics to cover for each one, or at the very least you must have only people who really care for the Pvp in general and not follow their personal agenda, for this reason I’d love to see again the following people:
@Nero
@Vain
@Java
Vain & Zoose would be good.
Also Neglekt for warrior stuff and maybe Khalifa for Necro.
Invite someone who hasn’t plagued the Mists with their ego. Someone who is relatively unknown.
Someone like me.
:)
1. build diversity. One of the big issues is the recent haste nerf really took away build diversity from the thief, and nearly killed the warrior. Ideas for solving that.
My own though is that they need to do a pve/pvp balance split, I think as long as they keep the mechanic of the abilities the same (or very similar) they can make adjustments without confusing people. Values of skills would change from pvp/pve anyway due to different stats.
Another fundamental issue is that most things cant be taken because they don’t allow you to cover your bases properly, a fully turret spec engy for example , doesn’t have a stun breaker. They may need to add mutually exclusive and different ways for people to cleanse/stun break. Because I know a lot of people don’t expand there build precisely because they cant achieve the required amount of cleansing or stun breaks.
by making the different ways mutually exclusive, or pointless to double up on, they can prevent OP cleanse bots.
Anyways, some thoughts.
SOTG is great but ATM I cant see this, there is nothing to talk about =/ devs dont care about PvP (at least it looks like that) We can run SGGD (Sadly Game Going Down) =(
Well with no developer panel I guess we could talk about what future updates are to come, but we kind of already know that. Maybe discuss about the current, and how balance may or may not have survived, (if this is post-april patch).

Keep in mind, someone on the Dev team will be watching this. Having a hopes or suggestions segment would be valuable.
say something about the thief nerfs I lost 2-4 possible builds to them. keep up the good work
Given how it’s been 8 months since and many skills/traits/builds are still crap and need work I’d love to know how they can justify something as involved and resource-consuming as super adventure box.
(edited by scerevisiae.1972)
^Because it wasn’t resource-consuming. Small team worked on that for the last few months. I mean, there’s 300 people working at Anet.
Bring back: ‘Gamer’ title + MAT’s!
Throw out: Hotjoin!
In general you can talk about everything, because everthing has lacks. But the main focus should, as in the last sotg xeph mentioned it, be in incentives.
Not sure if this will take off or not but it would be nice to see it mentioned:

TL;DR Some people trying to use hotjoins as custom arenas and make a league.
invite me for the engineer questions.
I promise to do nothing more than look around to see if someone else is actually playing an engineer.
And than say we have a long list of things without actually knowing what’s in it. Oh, and some buffs to things you won’t even remember we have!
Should fill the gap of not having the devs.
More serious: devless can be ok if there is a really balanced set up of guests.
We don’t want to hear everybody talking about themselves after all. Something people don’t plan on doing, but it is often the devs who create the bigger picture across the played professions. Even just because they’re the ones everybody asks all sort of questions…
I really like SotG, and keep at it. You don’t need devs each time.
K pop for SOTG.
needz more chars (15)
Hugs and kisses for SOTG
this one might actually be good.
I’m more interested in what good players have to say than what the devs have to say. The last one had the impression of good player-dev interaction, but apparently they totally forgot they were destroying quickness and never mentioned it in three hours of discussion about balance. LOL!
Like nerfing two classes into the ground didn’t deserve a brief explanation, right guis?
@$20 an hour! It’s worth it!
Hurry up and get to work then baddie… at least the devs won’t fumble with papers and miss half the important kitten for this one.
Maguuma
Great! Will enjoy hearing the top players talk about balance and the like.
It will give the Devs a better chance to reply with a prepared statement about the coming patch, after concisely hearing what the playerbase thinks. We can only hope they’ll wise up and listen this time around.
Top 100 Solo Q for a full minute
We’ll have a post up within the next day or two with details. Thanks for the comments/feedback, guys, I appreciate it.
Hey, Grouch! I’m really looking forward to this month’s webcast, I think it’s a really healthy way for the PvP community to voice its concerns and opinions regarding the health and future of the game. Since we don’t have devs this month, it would be awesome for you to have on as many representatives of the various classes on as possible and have a good talk about each class and how they’ve been affected by the updates. Here’s some questions:
1. Class balance: Health of metagame after March 26th, hopes for future balance patches?
2. Build diversity: For each class, in what areas do we think they need the most help for pvp? This can apply to currently underpowered utilities, weapon sets, and/or trait lines.
3. Ratings: Leaderboards and how they may affect how top players will choose to queue for tournies going forward. Should they add an “unrated queue” option for the rating-conscious that wish to solo queue or try out new builds/team comps/map strategies while not having to worry about tanking their rating?
4. Future features: What new features are the dedicated pvpers really looking forward to from the ArenaNet devs? (game features as opposed to class balance updates, which should be covered in question 1)
Like many who have stated I would hope there could be more discussion in bringing build variety into spvp.
Hopefully there can be more class representations if there are going to be any balance discussion.
Thanks for the effort.
Hi Grouch, I really like SOTG! Keep it up!
I second that motion!
