-Total War: Warhammer
-Guild Wars 2
One thread about too much damage, one thread about too many bunkers. Cmon boys, make your mind up.
Their is wayyyyy to much DMG in pvp….
Every single game I’m just in downstate 24/7
You can’t bring stability to this game without removing the power creep of dps and 1 shots going around.
This site belongs to Guild Wars 2 game, it does not support the game you are playing .
Thank you.
You are one meta too late :P
I wonder, how will minstrel help you in this meta? It will only do it worse. Many classes has alot of active and passive defences that they can live long enough without defencive stats, those who can’t mostly go with Cele. Going up against a Rev, DH, Engi or even DD who does not use defencive stats might get you killed fast if you havent learned to play your class defencive skills well.
What saves most of the classes at current meta is all these defencive skills (Passive and Active) not the stats. Some or many new Elite spec skills are even defencive and offencive at the same time.

What is this I don’t even………………………………
Problem with the game is how effective bunker specs are and you want to make that worse.
Miranda Zero – Ele / Twitch Zero – Mes / Chargrin Soulboom – Engi
Aliera Zero – Guardian / Reaver Zero – Necro
LOL. ok sir ok…

Let me guess you are a bunker guardian, suxx it up my friend, you are a kind destined to disappear nbody wants a bunker guardian.
When you have a Mesmer with perma invulnerability why anybody should use HP bag to take the beating.

To be fair, the ridiculous damage introduced by HoT was part of what promoted the bunker meta in the first place. If they just nerf defense, you’ll have people one-shotting each other left and right.

lool
obvious troll is obvious
From my experience what would help is:
1.Reworking most of the passives. The upkeep is simply crazy and boonstripping seems futile at times.
2.Introduce more soft rock-paper-scissors approaches, so anyone could beat anyone but a soft counter still has an edge over what it counters. Perhaps too general to be a useful suggestion but could be a goal.
3.Rework defense and offense across the board.
4.Utility needs to be looked at. Most elite specs were balanced around raids. Players are not elite mobs who can shrug off a long stunlock like it isn’t a thing and the game expecting you to or bosses with breakbars and don’t have the one shot mechanics of bosses. Thus the need for separate balancing between PvP and PvE is obvious. Balanced for fighting a million HP boss and two hundred thousand HP elite mob that hits hard, used against your 20,000 HP self.
5.Rework acrobatics to make acrobatics to make daredevil a viable point holding bunker. The class (daredevil) is actually strong in 1v1’s but not that good outside that niche role and trickery isn’t optional if you insist on using thief this season.
And I’m a wvw commander so……I know a thing thing or too about this game:/
All is vain.

We can go into middle ground and complain about too many conditions!

Is this a joke? What does being a WvW commander have to do with knowledge of PvP balance?
Some builds are actually way too sustainy, and there are no real burst classes out there. All of our damage classes (popular/in the meta) are bruisers that can take a beating.
If we compare the amount of cc/damage to core classes, sure, it’s over the top, but bunkers are a bigger issue than damage at the moment.
That being said, I agree that not only bunkers need to be looked at. We need to tone down some of the cc as well, and remove stupid mechanics like quickness stomping/ressing combined with evade wells.
Edit. Just checked post history. Obvious troll is obvious.

If only certain classes were allowed to use it then i would be all for it.
For instance a water/earth/tempest ele can wear a marauder amulet and bunker almost as well as a guardian can in any amulet while still providing good boon support and damage.
So it would make sense for a guardian to have it to make up for poor design.
If you allowed a ele, druid or engineer to use it however it would likely result in classes/specs that just will not die.

I’ve been saying it since ever. Not all Amulets should be avalible for all professions.
