If you’re bleeding somebody in downed state they can go to the character select screen and re-enter to avoid it. Pretty bad exploit.

This is a huge problem

Is it working as intended? Probably not.

Would I be glad if they did? Most times, yeah.

They’ll spend more time at loading screens than waiting for a rez timer. I’ll take that over a measly 5 points.

Fix this. I’ve seen it happen under the pretense of “switching characters” a few times, which is also a problem.

I can’t abuse it because i don’t have an SSD ;;

This is still a problem. People dying off point then immediately re logging to avoid the time spent in downed state/respawn

I often wait for Q’s in hotjoin..
nothing like dissapearing when 4 people try stoming you .. ^^

then again relogging is kinda sad when you are losing.

This issue was already brought to the attention of the developers, if you look carefully at the score you will notice that each time a player leaves a tournament game while in combat the other team gets 5 points.

I’m pretty sure the problem is they can ignore the respawn timers or if the enemy doesn’t stomp to let them bleed out they can respawn as fast as their hard drive goes so it turns to pay to win for the best SSD.

If anet has a way to figure out the difference between players disconnecting and straight up leaving as explained,they should implement a way to punish these people by adding immediate dishonered status or cut their glory/rank gain in half for a day.
