Know what happens in games like CoD/LoL, etc when someone leaves? The one leaving takes some form of a punishment (I.E. A automatic loss or a chance to be reported) even in WoW you become unable to play battlegrounds for X amount of time because you left ur last match…

I honestly can’t see this becoming a E-sport with such a bad concept.

What milo said. It’s a casual PvP experience, and really it doesn’t matter if someone leaves and if you get transfered from one team to another. I personally don’t care.

But for free tourneys they should do something about leavers and afk players. I don’t need to mention paid tourneys because those are 100% premades 95% of the time.

Punishment doesn’t deter leaving, and hurts people who seriously need to leave due to some issue cropping up. Same issue with diminishing returns, hurts bots slightly (since they don’t care and work forever), hurts honest players more (since they spend less time gathering naturally).

People play spvp while waiting for tourneys to pop, when they do that person leaves spvp

I’m all for tPvP AFK punishment, but hotjoin is just like playing backyard ball, it’s not meant to be serious, you just sometimes have some good fun serious games. If not, quit and join another. They are pretty much instant.
