Remove MMR from ranked
I have to agree because While I like league of legends mmr system it forces a player to play more games to rank up because eventually they will lose regardless of their player skill. The mmr system is made to prevent players from climbing too fast and allow everyone to have a chance to win.
Pros of mmr:
-every player gets close to 50% win rate
-Good players can still climb (although slower)
-Easier to keep rank for longer allowing players to adapt to their level.
Cons of mmr:
-Player Toxicity rises as people who should be higher ranks take forever to get there (blame the amber and emeralds for holding them back)
-Slow ranking up (players have to play an extremely large amount of games to rank up)
-High skill players accumulating on lower divisions.
People who should be higher ranks get there quite easily. The toxic people never had high MMR in the first place, or else they would be winning.
I agree the MMR is silly though, I won 44 soloq’s in a row and got to legend without losing a single game in diamond/ruby late season. That is a bit much.
Not saying they should remove it though, just adjust.

You do realize you could just edit your response instead of triple posting right? Anyways regarding the exact topic. So you are saying you should take the “Match Making Rank” component…. out of “Ranked Match Making”…
What we have now is definitely flawed, particularly in how they group up both people who are winning together, and those are losing together, PARTICULARLY the latter, because it just creates a feedback loop of losing/ill feelings. If POSSIBLE, the match maker should avoid putting together players that have recently been on a losing team together, if there are similar mmr candidates that they could be paired with instead.
This might just be a player population problem though.

MMR should at least be something that you can see. Everyone should be able to see their MMR, and the average/median MMR of the two teams when a match starts.

It’s not “Ranked Match Making.” It’s “Ranked Arena.” The “rank” is achieved through climbing divisions. Climbing through the divisions is directly affected by your W/L record. In my mind, your place on the division ladder should be the only consideration in matching teams, anything more is bias team stacking.
