Why is there a cooldown on the aegis upon signet use from Rune of Resistance? There’s no cooldown on the condition cleans on shouts from Soldier/Trooper runes either.

A lot of classes have signets (all besides engi and rev) but besides Necros and Warriors no one really uses them a lot (maybe Mesmers a little).
Aegis upon signet use would be a nice incentive to try out some signet builds on other classes and seeing as it’s basically just a reverse blind it won’t be OP – no one can really spam signets anyway. I know I’d try to get some signet build rolling on ele and guard at least with them giving aegis.

But with 30 seconds cooldown it’s basically another rune that just functions on your heal skill.

there is no cooldown on soldier runes because conditions can be very easily reapplied.

some how, the reds seems rather fixated that blowing all 6 signets actives to activate 6 aegis in a row is game breaking.

well, to be fair, ele can use signets and still retain the passive benefits if they trait for it.

i am not sure if anyone does that though, i do not play ele so i dunno.

Eles used signets (in a tier 2 build) when they were able to give auras upon usage, but that was taken away and given to tempest shouts, so signets aren’t usable any more.

Also, I just noticed, Runes of the Dragonhunter give 5 stacks of might upon placing a trap, with no cooldown too. And that’s way better than aegis.
