Remove the Timer Completely
I think this would be a terrible idea. I don’t feel like telling you why, but that’s what i think.
I guess many people do not like turtle strategy but it would help build diversity.
The only map I ever see the timer run out is courtyard, and in it’s current state that map needs a timer (change it to a 3 round deathmatch and removing the timer would be fine)
idk how removing the timer would even make a difference in other maps, with the game balance as is running a 5 man bunker team to just sit on points and keep them neutral would lose you the game anyway because damage (especially coordinated burst) > defense right now and once you lost a point you would have absolutly no way of taking one back.
Also with the timer would be more effective for turtles because you have to turtle less, I really don’t see what removing the timer would do aside for its effects on courtyard
Removing timer would allow different strategies to wining for example turtle, choke access etc etc putting some new life in these old maps, too many matches time out what’s the harm of letting them continue until a clear winner is established.

all of those strats exist with the timer, removing it doesn’t change anything… its not like its a 5 min match timer and games end at like 200 score against 160 or something games 99/100 end before the timer. Sure remove the timer, It’s not going to shift the meta in the slightest.
I think it would be an interesting Gambit idea for Conquest, but I don’t know if it will be a great idea to remove the time limit as a permanent feature.

I don’t want a 30 minute game. The timer is effective in those situations where you have a lot of bunkers.
Can you imagine, this pvp map lasting as long as it takes to take some towers or keeps? Sometimes these battles go on for over an hour.
People will turtle up inside of the keep and you will stand around dying and fighting over and over. Not only does this get tedious but some people cant devote that much time in one instance to a pvp map.
I would agree for stronghold, but not conquest. Yes this could mean we have hour long matches but I think that should be a possibility for an objective based map where you actively need to push players/lanes.
If the idea of having such a long game turns people off I’d say double the timer so atleast there IS a cut off at some point.

I see a timer increase happening for when the Lord’s gate is down but not for anything else.
