Removing Signet off the Ults skill!!!!

I have to agree with you, I’ve been playing on my engineer lately and you can change a lot of stuff utilities traits.
I love it when people back up any hare-brained idea of theirs with “promotes build diversity and competitive gameplay”.
Here’s a counterargument: No it doesn’t.
The biggest challenge is to make your own build and fit it with your team comp / strategy instead of: am gonna slot those utilities and ulti, then spam 1 and while doing that am gonna strafe a bit and maybe even jump to give the impression I know what am doing and am top of my game xD

I don’t see why it does not promote build diversity and competitive gameplay, simply say it does not without any proper explanation does not help the game getting any better. The reason for me is those Signet stay in Ults, just to get the passive buff while its owner does not care about a thing is simply mindless spam. Ults should be used more often, rather than just one passive sit there for a whole fight.

Not using a skill is mindless spam? How are you spamming the not-use of a skill?
Behold, I am now spamming not-murder. What a mindless bloke I am…
The passive effect of signet elites are a trade-off. Do I want a smaller effect active all the time, and use it when I need to for a slightly larger effect, or do I want to use something that can dramatically alter a situation, but becomes unavailable for longer afterward?
I fail to see how one is “more spammy” or “less attentive” than the other.
If signets that can actually dramatically alter a situation, while also giving passive bonus while not activated, I would say they are way much better than any other type of Ults out there since you have both passive and active while other types of Ults only have active. But since it is not so much called dramatically alter a situation, most of the time, it is just sit there because people prefer to have passive effect rather than a kitten active effect.

There is but one such skill.
Passively, it gives 1 adrenaline every 3 seconds. That is one adrenaline, not one bar; one tenth of one bar. With a trait, it also gives 40 precision.
The active gives five stacks of might, fury, and swiftness for thirty seconds. While on cooldown, the passive effect does not work. With a trait, the 60s cooldown can be reduced by 20%.
I fail to see how the active effect is as powerful as other elites, or how the total effect is more powerful than other elites.
passive+active mechanics in general still need to be in the game, but should be weaker than something that requires usage overall.
Warrior is one example but a better one is Necromancer. When you use Signet of Spite you have more cover condis to protect your good damaging ones than most classes can cleanse, even going into a full cleanse trait and utility setup.
That, my friends, is called overpowered. Yes you can dodge it, but in a teamfight when spirits are all over the place it isn’t that easy.
And if any necro argues that 180 power isn’t that important, look up the threads where having 916 more power doubles your direct damage. When you haven’t used Signet of Spite you effectively get 20% more direct DPS in a condi build. Add the crit damage from 20 Soul Reaping and you get decent direct damage on top of all the condi pressure.
Necros ought to be given more incentive to run Spectrals, Corruption and Wells, which require use to get any return on, than Signets in competitive play. For a new player, Signets should be encouraged so they have a higher start value in production.
Templates would help a lot here. Given how much time it took Anet for solo Q I guess we’ll see Templates some time next year >.>
