If you ever wonder what reporting does. It does absolutely nothing.

We tested it with some friends where 2 guys misbehaved really badly and 1 guy reported it. 3 weeks later and nothing happened. No warning, no suspension nothing.

Its all a facade.

My question to anet….what do we need to do to make this community a better place? Just ignore bad behaviour?

What?.. I’ve reported someone using racial slurs @Me one time during a game, but didn’t say anything ; Next game I get tells from his teammates saying he has a 3day ban

We were in a match with an afk that has been reported MANY times before and nothing has happened

That’s cause Reporting AFKs is useless…
Anet believes that the deserter system will handle it.

Reporting Verbal Abuse > Works
Reporting REAL botters > Works
Reporting Gold Sellers > Twerks.

The report system works, if you get too many reports the game automatically bans you permanently. It happened to me but the support helped me.

Reporting names you dont like also seems to be about 50/50 lol

When it comes to racial slurs or hate speech I always report via e-mail system, because I do not trust the automatic system. They say every report is monitored, but I do not believe this. At least when you submit an e-mail, an actual human has to review it and respond back to you.
