I’ve noticed alot of suspicious resing lately and im asking here if anyone knows more about this, noone seems to be talking about it and i think this needs to be brought to the devs attention as it is quite game breaking. I know of one exploit with eles Glyph of renewal where u can cast it twice back to back, once in mistform and once out of it (it has 2 seperate CDs). And theres seems to be another exploit where u rally for no reason, this hapened to me today once and the opposing team accused me of exploiting, then we fought the same team again in the next tournament and their ele got down twice in a row and he rallied twice then ran away (he claimed he had no idea how that hapened), noone from his team was anywhere close and noone from our team died at that time. I’ve seen this sort of things hapening before too and not just with eles but i could never be sure. Anyway we need some fixes on this things fast and if anyone knows more about this plz tell.

There is definitely something shady going on with eles and somehow ressing while in the downsed state mistform without someone actually dying to rally them. I just hope it isn’t something people are able to easily reproduce on their own.

while I’ve definitely seen a lot of random rallies lately and most of them seem to involve Ele’s in mist form more often than not they are just as surprised by it as the rest of us. Fairly often they’ll ask in /say or /map “how did I just do that?”

Actually I noticed this too in a SPVP match, not a tourney but I was messing around on my ele trying some new builds, I got downed, went into vapor form came out of it standing up… I was so shocked I almost died right away again from not moving, I have had legitimate rallies in mist form, but this was just weird. Honestly I don’t know what happened on the other side of the map… Someone could of died that I tagged I don’t really know, I know that neither of the 3 people I was fighting died lol.

This happened to an ele on the other team yesterday. He got downed, and then randomly rallied. I asked about it in whisper, and he said he had no clue what happened.

I also have experienced this also while playing as an ele using vapour form a few times, one thing I do notice (might just be a coincidence) is that I am often fighting a necro when this happens, and the first thing that comes to mind is I perhaps rallied from a minion of some sort dying. It is a very weird bug and I am not 100% sure what causes it, defo seems to have the possibility of game changing though.

That’s probably it. Like vengeance rallies off minion kills.

I dont think minions are the problem as there was no necro around when it happened although i do use ogre rune with a rock dog but i dont think someone could rally off my rock rog twice in such a short time, he was down and up twice inside 30s or so, maybe my elemental was up im not sure. But if that was the case it would probably happen alot more to me aswell.

It’s happened once or twice in WvW for me too although at the time I thought it was a valid rally due to me usually being the first into a stacked group then pulling out, however I will say that Glyph of Storms also has a second timer although when I tested in Mist Form it channeled but no spell effect took place. Not sure if it’s the same with Glyph of Renewal since I never use it in WvW.

I have rallied few times on Rock dog kill, as an ele, but it’s not always like that. Guess it’s random…strange.

agreed, this needs to be fixed, its annoying and gamebreaking… happened to me many times in tournaments… :/

so just so you know, if an ele uses her rez utility in fire attunement, they have a 15 seconds buff where they will insta rally on downed. no one else needs to actually be rezzef for this to happen. so it could be that.

that said, as an ely, i did have a suspicious insta rally as soon as i hit mist form in a match last night, but i roam a lot and it was a chaotic couple of battles so its hard to tell

Ok i tried this out, if the opponents rock dog dies while u are in vapor form u rally. Im not sure if this works with other minions too but im definetly not using ogre runes anymore.

Well I found the reason I had been rezzing randomly, a few players in hot join (where it was happening with me) were running Rez signets just messing around. I got hit by a Rex signet twice without even seeing the player who used it lol.
