Yes we don’t know much about the Revenent yet, but if Vee Wee had to make a build based on the information given, Vee Wee would probably go 30 Corruption and 30 Retribution condi Revenant! It seems pretty strong from the traits alone! With 30 Corruption and 30 Retribution and Vee Wee’s trait selection, you’d get this!

Minor traits!

  • Critical hits have a 33% chance to cause 3s torment.
  • Striking a foe has a 50% chance to remove 1 boon. 15s CD
  • Torment lasts 33% longer.
  • 50% chance when struck to gain 15 endurance. 10s CD
  • Gain 2.5s stability after you dodge roll.
  • Take 5% reduced damage while below 50% health.

Major traits!

  • Foes that strike you from farther than 600 range deal 10% less damage. OR Incoming conditions heal you for 51. It depends on how it works! If I eat a full Drake’s breath duration, do I heal for 51 or 204!
  • Gain 3s protection whenever you are disabled. 5s CD
  • 50% chance when stuck to heal yourself for 503. 4s CD
  • Using a legendary demon stance skill grants resistance for a short duration. (Basically all utilities + elite when in demon form is a legendary demon stance! And resistance makes you immune to condition damage while the boon is active!)
  • When striking a foe with over 2 boons, strip 2 boons and apply 3 stacks of confusion for 6 seconds! If you have 3+ conditions on you, apply 2 extra stacks of confusion! Applies 1 stack of vulnerability to yourself! No cooldown LOL! RIP DD Ele!
  • Burn 5 foes within 360 range for 3 seconds when using an elite skill. 10s CD (Revenant elites have no cooldown!)

Vee Wee would probably use Torment and Energy sigils with Mace/Axe! The weapon skills are as follows:

  • Mace auto attack is a 3 swing combo that torments, torments, bouncing poison!
  • Mace 2 creates a fire field that applies 1 second of burning 4 times for 3 seconds! 3s CD
  • Mace 3 is a leap that is also a blast finisher! Hopefully it doesn’t need a target to cast! Seems it would be a better tool for disengages! 8s CD
  • Axe 4 throws the axe at an enemy and chills them for 2 seconds! If it hits, you shadowstep to them and deal a bunch of damage! This will deal like 3k+ crit as a full condi build! Only 12s CD! Seems OP!
  • Axe 5 creates a rift in front of you that pulls people in after a short while! It also applies torment and deals small damage! 15s CD

Geomancy would replace Energy if there are any 5/10 point vigor traits in the trait lines Anet hasn’t released yet! Vee Wee would also probably run Adventurer or Balthazar Runes! Vee Wee would also have the Embrace the Darkness elite up all the time! It duplicates condis on you to 5 enemies within a 240 radius for 3 seconds every 3 seconds! There you have it frands! Vee Wee’s condi Revenant build!

If I got anything wrong please let me know frands!

I was thinking about building my Rev too already. But i was thinking about a power-based one or even Cele. I would probably go 6 into Corruption too, with slightly different traits tho. The Heal on incoming Condition sounds pretty decent. The trait that triggers banish enchantment has a 25 sec ICD, so in my build the extra damage per condition might be worth it. Now I would go 6 into Invocation, mainly to pick up the trait that either heals or damages on Legend swap, the stun break minor trait and the trait that gives you 2 stacks of might every time you get below 50 Energy with no ICD.

Revenant seems way too cool to be true tbh.

I really hope 2nd proffs specialization will bring the current 8 proffs/same old kitten builds boredom to a next level.

This game needs this expansion soooooo bad.

I’m was considering a really tank 6 invocation 6 Retribution build and using hammer with ham4 and 1 to have crazy amounts of leeching (maybe even leeching/energy sigils).

Basically:
Adept.
Ret
- 50% chance when struck to gain endurance (15). 10s CD
-Gain stability for 2.5s after you dodge roll
-Take 5% reduced damage below the health threshold (50%, 10,396)
Inv
-Summon an orbiting globe of mist when you spend energy. The globe is destroyed upon legend swap.
Replenishing Globe: The globe heals allies and is destroyed when it passes through them (10s duration, 240 radius, healing: 430)
-Pull in and absorb all active replenishing globes when you invoke a legend. The healing from the globe has 50% more effectiveness.
-Invoking a legend is instantaneous and breaks stuns

Majors
Ret
-Foes that strike you from further away than the range threshold (600) deals 10% less damage.
-Gain 3s protection whenever you are disabled. 5s CD
-50% chance when struck to heal yourself (503). 4s CD.
Inv
-Using a heal skill grants you fury for 8s. 20s CD
- (major is in the between the 3)
- (option)The critical hit rate of fury has 50% increased effectiveness on you. Use if traited into fury master.
- (option) While your energy is above the threshold your outgoing healing is increased by 25% per target. When your energy is below the threshold the incoming damage to you is reduced by 10%. 50% energy threshold. Use if one of the other 2 master traits are taken.

Depending on the power tree and other power weapons some stuff could change. Regardless the last 2 are likely to go into the power tree not yet shown. Possibly two removed from Retribution to it as well.

Should provide for a high healing dps that’d be pretty fun to play. :}
