You clear one set of Torment, and you get another 10 stacks right after. You clear that, and another 10 pops up. Anyone have a good build to counter unlimited conditions? Revenants are so powerful now. I’ve seen them take down Guardians, Engineers, Necros, Mesmers, you name it. You go invulnerable, the Torment still ticks. This is God Mode.

Range and/or burst. Resistance can help. I imagine shout trooper druids would have no problem with these revs

Necro takes down condition rev with ease. Once you corrupt resistance, the rev is dead.

Mesmer has no problem with condition rev either. It might take some time for mesmer to win but mesmer will eventually win.

Engineer should be able to sustain without any problem either as long as you take enough condition cleanse.

I’m maining Mesmer. Very honestly experiencing no troubles at all with revs.

So staying Longbow on my Ranger should be enough to avoid the Torment spam? I’ve seen Revanants teleport short distances. Not sure what skill that is. I know they have the leap that leaves the purple pizza field of death.

As a Druid/Ranger, you easily have the tools to deal with it

It’s axe 4, or maybe shiro. Be sure to bring at least the condi clean signet if you’re having so much trouble, but I don’t think that playing as druid you should have trouble against revs, maybe power but still easy af.

Condi rev still trash tier.

Too many random and this is solo/double queue now, rock paper scissors balance is not work more.

Empathic Bond on Ranger is helpful, up until my pet dies from Torment stacks. And I’m not the type of Ranger that stands at max range and pew pews. I like to try and cap points or decap so I can be useful, so I would go in melee. I guess with Revenants, I need to just stick to the edge of the circle.

pewpew, knock em back, root them and fire away with rapid fire and barrage. Having the taunt on f2 helps as well as using the wolf.

Revenants still have the same weaknesses they always had. Don’t let the changes make you forget that.

^Now that they can’t even run vipers (which was why condi rev was so good in Season1+2) they are even worse imo.

If they run glint/malyx they are easy to kite and CC. If they run shiro/Malyx they are easy focus damage targets.

I honestly don’t understand all the QQing about condi rev. They are still bad. In fact, they are a worse version of condi necro. I have yet to find one in my games since patch that doesn’t instaexplode when focused.

I run thief standard meta d/p with few tweaks and with signet of agility, improv, shs, withdraw. Between cleanses and interrupts, condi revs are not a problem really. Tbh, by far easiest thing to kill atm.

I would claim that necros can deal with them also fairly well. Just don’t waste xfers and cleanse right away and watch what revs uses. If he spams his rotation for high torment stacks and you cleanse it after, he is low on energy and will be dead pretty fast.

Regardless the builds they also still die really quick under the pressure so make sure to focus them with your team if you play the class that can’t deal with them solo. I remain by my opinion and think that in overall picture necros are bigger threat.

Work on that issue first, knowing class skills and mechanics is paramount to everything else. Then you will more than likely see how to combat more builds/classes.

You can kill them:

• At range, due Rev have no viable ranged weapon, and the mobility from condi Rev is crap. Axe is the only weapon which can hit you at 900 range, but their attacks have a 12s and 15s cooldowns and the animations are easy so see and block/evade. Unyielding Anguish has a leap range of 600, but is expensive. If the Rev uses Shiro instead of Glint to teleport with Phase Traversal (1200 range) will lack the powerfull AoE cleave damage and cc from the dragon.

• Crowd control. Condi Revenant has 0 access to stability. Will repeat it again: 0 access to stability. And they have less blocks and evades than power Rev due the weapon configuration. Some classes with strong cc game as Necros, Warriors or Mesmers can ping-pong condi Revs like a puppet all the way to the death.

• With conditions. They have resistance (for a time), but once is gone their cleansing potential is garbage, d-tier crap. Some conditions like confussion or chill utterly trample Revs. If you got condi Rev with confussion or chill outside the resistance uptime they are screwed.

You don’t need those three to beat a condi Rev. Just pick one, based on your class, and get the job done.

But really, the only true counters are cleansing and resistance. Torment is an OP condition that often lasts way too long and can then be stacked too easily for too much damage. You have to move in PvP, so having torment last so long is going to be a problem. The reason you don’t see it being much of a problem is because condi rev hasn’t been a concern for over a year and torment on mesmers doesn’t last too long from shatters. Mesmers can’t run sceptre in PvP without being demolished in half a second, so you never really hear about OP torment mesmers.

My point is, torment is OP but torment specs aren’t (or weren’t).
