But in all seriousness, I think I’ve read a “too strong” post about every single class in the game. Some bugs need to be fixed first before the devs worry about balance issues.

Revenant is actually kind of weak atm. I’ve played since beta and I have never seen one on a top tier team or in any tournaments, so please, l2p before you complain about a class you don’t understand.

There’s a good possibility they will come out broken though, in my experience it always starts like this when a new class is introduced.
Which leads to a very unpleasant experience in game since 90% of the player base will switch to the new class.

I was really just joking because the class hasn’t been released yet. I just thought every class could use a too strong post.

the revenant skills from the beta were pretty much bugged quite a bit and while revenant might have been strong with the old combat system from pre patch it’s actually possible that he is weak now and has problems with bursts.

it did look interesting for celestial builds with mace/axe but if it doesn’t pack enough dps under the new system it won’t be too great. there is also the lack of mobility that could pose a problem.

hammer was a crap weapon and tbh i don’t think ventari revenant will be too great.

what i am personally looking forward to is a berserk assassin/dragon or assassin/dwarf sword/axe revenant.

From what i have seen so far he will come out underpowered as hell. Nothing to worry about, just cc it 100-0 like necros, even easier as they dont have invuls, escape mechanics or even DS

In current state he will serve as a food to old classes, but i believe rev is designed to pve anyway

This was some nice, humorous relief. I’ve been feeling pretty down every time I visit the “forums” for the “community”. This place is giving me PTSD it’s so bad. I’m just going to stop coming here for anything positive or slightly constructive, because no, broken threads aren’t constructive when there’s twelve of them and nobody can articulate their problems without some slight bias.

Their ability to channel a variety of different legendaries will prob make them very useful in pve, just like the elementalist. As for pvp, only time will tell.

Im sure Anet will rectify the balance issues in due course so personally im not concerned with the meta currently. Call it a holiday from the norm until things settle down.
