Rewards Discussion: Is this really necessary?
Why are you hoarding them in the first place when they do not stack? Just open them as soon as you get it and sell/salvage/deposit mats ASAP.
//EDIT: My MF is maxed long ago and I don’t really get anything that’s worth mentioning.

Why do you care about getting max MF first in order to open them? By the time you do reach max MF you would have some boxes no?
Hoarding them for that long doesn’t seen to be worth it if you don’t even have a space to get the actual loot out of the boxes.

I’m not gonna get to max. I figure around 260-275% base then open them. Otherwise the stuff I salvage will just be wasted Luck.
…You had time to acquire all those boxes, but none to work on your magic find?
Why not just open some of them not only to get some inventory space, but to salvage the Masterwork/Fine stuff for more Luck?
Not saying that its not slightly annoying that boxes cant be stacked so easily, but your reasoning seems odd.
I guess the different box “types” have their own item reward lists, so it was decided to give different boxes as you progress through a track over rewarding a single box type. For example, The Kryta Reward Track has Boar Loot Box and Raptor Loot Box. which have very different rewards despite being on a similar track.
If you’re a hybrid PvP and PvE player, then MF is going to progress organically as you play PvE, so it can be tempting to save up the loot boxes.
The intent would seem to be opening boxes as soon as youg et them, however, to give some pacing of PvE rewards to PvP players.
However, I agree with the OP that having 6 different boxes that are exactly the same thing just feels silly, although there are several legitimately different box types in each track.
I guess their art department didn’t count on a hoarder running out of storage space, but I think he’d like to keep his job so you might need to start opening those.
I think it’s all to do with “fine mats” and other drops mainly. See from what I understand these boxes would give you an item/s that those creatures who the box is named after could drop if you killed them in the open world. Example harpies – bloods etc. Other loot like leathers/hides/soiled rags/other misc cloth salvage items etc as well as normal loot bags are also included, so say a bandit named box could give a sack to open. Of course it is also based on the lvl of the char opening them as well. The fine mat would match to your combat lvl.
Or I could be totally wrong of course but that’s what I always thought, too lazy to check the wiki too. :P
This is the dumbest thing I’ve ever seen. Just open them & move on with your life.
