Revenants.

Unkillable.
Revenants are close to being bunkers as marauders (or actually are). Cannot be bursted. Shields every 20s. Wont get decapped. Herald heal. 10k Evades. More evades. Blocks. No cooldowns on stun breaks. Can roll anti condi if needed, still survives everything else pretty well. Super mobility.

Is the game supposed to be like this? Only way to kill one is with a moa? Oh wait hes got trait that procs in moa and prevents from kill Slap a druid or bunker guard on the side and you are bueno.

Next ESL’s are just gonna be unkillable bunkers standing on node with few dps roam around hoping to get hold of 1 cap and hold it for 15min.

/rant end. NERF PLZ

it’s only taken, what about a day for people to start crying about Revenants. If you think Rev’s are the OP, then you haven’t played much lol

I dont know about the rev but i have noticed a serious upgrade in bunkerness from my zerker warrior spec. I havent tried a condi warrior with the new spec but im landing more F1 attacks then ever but no one is dying. Im on the verge of just going back to sustain condi. Kind of sucks that the risk/reward just doesnt to be there as much.

Im running into mesmers/guardian i cant hit. Necros/eles i cant kill and the one class i dont find crazy strong atm is Warriors and revenants. (thieves are in this middle situation to me along with engy)

managed to roll them ez peez on engi

maybe you just need to have a play around on glint/shiro & learn the animations & cds.
the whole ‘cc > burst’ thing has been working fine on them for me.

its not just the blocks its all the healing factors and life force gain as it stands revenants are able to 1 v 5 unless certain elite specs are against it , no profession should be able to withstand 80k+ damage actively in a single combat without disengaging with berserk gear

currently the only hard counter to rev is engineer and mesmer moa transform and unlike mesmers engineer’s version sucks as it has a radius of something like 15-30 AKA the elixir bottle has to actually hit the target directly

You forgot Wail of Doom, I’m a bunker MM necro for now blocks have not proven to be an issue for me guard,scrapper,rev etc and I have poison hell just d/wh and staff handles blocks fine enough. If you want to stick to meta after a fresh patch that is your choice it doesn’t even have to interrupt just applying poison or unblockable damage will do the trick. You could also just dps him I have seen it happen.

I have a guard crying on thief forum about a possible tripwire and staff combo owning him it’s not meta but he finds it ridiculous. If it really becomes too much of an issue they have their more common patches to nerf it.

but then how did i beat them with mortar elite?
maybe they were bad?
oh, no don’t say they were bad because if they are all bad then how come i only face bad players & you only face good players? maybe it’s all relative if you know what i mean ;-)

also buddy, toss X has a decent radius. it’s not that hard to hit & you can get a group with it.

I will guarantee you none of those skill will become meta and as I said 2 blocks per 20, shortest is 25 on Signet of Might but that requires Warrior to give up his extremely important utilities. Thief traps are some of the worst skills is the game and you have people crying about dying to them in WvW in permastealth in Thief forums.

On necro d/wh and staff has always been meta but anyway yes there is possible need for a nerf I doubt it will happen on first post HoT patch. People expected Trapper Runes to overthrow PvP lol.

unless said reaper was AFK you would not have killed him with just a mortar elite and no i dont think i face good players as their build seems to require no skill to begin with

Well, I guess I’m doing something horribly wrong.

I’m playing a bunker rev and I’ve died a lot. Granted it was only really against people who had a brain. Oh well.
