Does anyone agree that it’s open that Rngs pet does dmg on you when u down Rng. Not only does Rngs pet attack you why u try finish Rng also has his down abilities. Many a time I kill a Rng after a tough fight then try finish on low life. Pet kills me and not only that when both down Rng get rezzed by pet lmao. Yes I do try heal up or use something to stop this from happening but on a rare case pet will kill me on t he struggle finish. Just find it out of order lmao

If you are 1v1ing a ranger and you down him, and you are low hp, you should move away, heal back, cc the pet if ressing, and then stomp.
Everyclass has something to secure the stomp from get dazed from downed ranger, you can block his Attack, blind it or just pop up stab

you know pet can port to you and knock you down for lovely 6k dmg?

Man I’m not defending rangers or their pets. I tried to be helpfull to him.
Blame arenanet for that not me, I dont even play ranger

Ranger shares many of his traits with his pet. You really lost the fight when you downed the ranger, but have too little health to deal with the pet. The pet carries about 20% of what the Ranger has.

That being said, it’s not RNG. The pet has an activated attack (which usually hits hard) and a special pet attack, this can be powerful and is the first thing the pet tries to do when you swap to it. So… if you down the ranger, watch for when he swaps his pet. The chances are the first thing it does will hit you hard. If you survive that, you have to then deal with the activated ability.

But, don’t worry. Chances are every time you press your buttons you are dealing 2-3 times as much damage as ranger does. Ranger’s unmodified attacks are weakest in game.
