Hello!

When I discovered 1v1 servers I felt in love with them. Not because I like duels (well, yeah, I like duels but that’s not why), but because there was a sense of “community”. I could see people dueling, I could leave the match, come back after 1 day has passed, and still see the same people duel each other. Tommy, Leeto, Sizer, ecc ecc. I loved the sense of knowing each others, even if people, most likely, didn’t know me.
You may think that I’m crazy, but I felt for the first time, since I started caring about SPVP, like if I was part of a community.

Just recently, then, I decided to watch some streaming, mostly because I wanted to learn, or just to get in touch with good players. I really like following Ostrich Eggs (especially since when he “moved” to EU), but also zoose, and phantaram.

Truth is, I discovered them by myself, because I was interested in finding them. That’s the problem: why isn’t there more “advertising” about these things? It would really improve the community. For example, I didn’t even care about the ESL events till yesterday, when I saw (while wondering why there wasn’t even a streamer online in Twitch) Team 55 HP Monks defending the Lord against Team Exaltation. I didn’t even know that there was supposed to be a tournament. I didnt’t even know it was weekly! Now that I know, I will surely watch more!

Why aren’t them advertised? Watching and knowing these kind of things help people get inside the SPVP community more than doing TeamQ or SoloQ.
For example there could be some sort of notification ingame! Nobody talks about them, not even on the forums.

I am very inexperienced with these kind of things, so if you find what I said ridicolous, just ignore me or update me.

I actually wrote a part in which I said “oh, Leet is good, let’s see how he manages to fight against a medguard like Bullet!” and then deleted it because it was too fanboy

On a more serious note… All the stuff that ESL is currently doing should be ingame features imo (you should be able to create a team ingame, you should be able to sign up for the weeklies ingame and others should be able to spectate the matches ingame).

Instead of having to watch the stream there should be a spectate option for these kind of things so you can actually spectate the fights and the people you’re interested in. There could be requirements like leaderbord position or played teamq games this week so that these tournaments wouldn’t get flooded by random people which would most likely happen otherwise if you would announce the tournaments ingame (going through a bunch of freewins in TOL2 was pretty boring :/).

Having offical 2v2 tournaments (currently hosted by ESL) and actually having a lot of people spectating the games (at least I could imagine that people would rather spectate something ingame than watching a stream especially when it’s getting announced ingame) would probably make a lot of people happy.

On a sidenote I already made way more than 10k gems by participating in the 2v2 and conquest weeklies hosted by ESL so there would be your PvP rewards I guess.

10k gems ? ok this is a thing i didnt know…. i gotta find some good mate and get there

Anyway +1 for having streams advertized ingame. LoL home page has a rotation of the highest rank matches being played…. that would be great to have here too.
