Hi guys, I’m new to the spvp. I’ve been playing WvWvW for months, but since it completely lacks of what we know it lacks (well, YOU spvp players might not know, but since it’s a huge topic I’d rather skip explanations) I tried out spvp.

Well, so far I have to say it’s kinda funny. Not really deep, but funny. Even so I noticed that some of the sigils which activates on weapon swap don’t work: I’m talking about the superior sigil of the geomancer and the superior sigil of hydrimancer. Is this a known bug? Is it going to be fixed?

Secondly, how can I get a better looking skin? Is it just random (like the items you get from the chests) or does it require a certain level? I would like to obtain my mix between duelist and cultural tier 3 set, which I have in wvwvw, in spvp too, but how?

They work for me, they have internal cooldowns.
And you get better looking skins by advancing in glory rank and winning tourny chests.

No. You will want to start with free tournaments.
Go up to the tournament master in heart of the mists. ( a similar npc to the one you use to join hotjoin matchs).

Then, select free and the ‘create roster’ button on the bottom right hand corner of screen. Then when the roster menu pops up click submit.
It will put you in a Q, when it fills up with 5 you have a team, then you wait for a pop.

If all you have been doing is hotjoins, be patient. The skill gap is quite large, tourny players are on average, MUCH better than the people u run into in hotjoins.
Depending on time of day, the Q wait can be 5 mins or 20.

Yeah I know. Although I don’t play spvp, I’m not a noob of the game. Still, sometimes, when I swap the weapon set they don’t activate at all, not even the graphic effect.
